**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Scott, i added you then sent an invite to you yesterday. You joined the party then i tried to join a game but you might have been in one already or something because it wouldnt let me join one or host

I dont really know how the menu system/adding people etc works yet

I can't remember where I read it but I'm sure they mentioned that a big patch would be coming in April which would activate the social tab and make other changes to the bnet interface, so perhaps it will feel a bit less like everyone is isolated from each other after that.

Sounds good. Personally I have just been clicking on Join then select one of the featured and join. It always finds games and connects instantly unlike a lot of recent games where the lobby is dire.

When you have played a game against/with someone, how do you find them again to play again/have a re-match etc. Is it possible from the name in game?

Yeah, I don't know how it works either. I was in a game when I joined the party.

Anybody up for some 2v2s?

Have they stopped sending out invites?

I was not bothered about this game but after watching some gameplay videos, I can't wait to play it.

would have been better to get the single player part so we can beta test that as well :)

as much as i loved the original starcraft, this one is taking the **** its essencially the same game in a 'new' graphics engine, etc. what the hell has taken them so long to do? in the time i have been waiting for SC2 since i pre-ordered sometime in '08 on a popular online shopping site, there have been three supreme commander releases, two of them set the benchmark for RTS games IMHO, they've just released the sequel (which is rubbish, child friendly heap of turd) but still they work perfectly well and such. what is taking blizzard so long? seriously running out of patience for this, hell was even exited about starcraft: ghost before it disappeared from existance a while back, but i guess thats just blizzard! :(

I think the game has been ready for a while now but they have been trying to perfect battlenet 2 before release which has caused a lot of delay. They are also thinking about how they can maximise profits by selling maps and addons later on down the line so are seeing what they can package. The game feels finished when you play it, they just need to sort out some balancing issues and throw in the single player campaign.

download is SOOOO SLOW!
disabled P2P and it's 10K/s faster!
can't wait to get in!
50k/s is NOT fast enough!!!
