Observers main use is for detection. It's a great buff.
I mean that i've never really had a problem with the cost, just with having to open robo every game otherwise instaloss.

Terran are the least nerfed race actually. If you followed SC2 during beta, after 15 patches the only buff protoss got was a stalker damage increase of 2 and making archons build faster by 5 seconds. Literally every other patch they were nerfed.
Besides, the change to fungal growth not being able to hit air is the biggest nerf this patch by far. I don't think terran were even nerfed?

Took me 12.5 Hours to do all 29 Missions, not including any I might have failed and redone.
There's an achievement to do it in under 8 hours I think it is, which isn't really possible on your first play through (it is possible, but it requires only doing the minimum amount of missions and stuff, which you won't know/do your first time round).
There's a secret level in there too, so if you want to do that check on the internet for that one, and missions where you have a choice of doing it 2 ways needs to be done before you get to the final chapter, so be sure to do all those too

ive just started playing this game properly and b4 i try the multiplayer id like to do the challenges. im having real difficulty in the rush defence challenge. i can beat the zerglings no problem but i get annihilated by the zealots. i just can build enough quick enough.
any tips?

I did a PF rush I think, a little tricky but it worked. Failing that, I'm sure there are a ton of vids of it being done on youtube.
Is there any truth to the rumours of an upcoming ladder wipe, or is it pure speculation?
yeah i think its going to happen.. the idea behind it, i think! is to have Ladder Seasons much like they had for WGTour etc back in the day.
Good thing imo. Providing you stay in the same league, just have your stats/score wiped.
That level isn't too hard, just as soon as the leve starts build a barracks, then another barracks, build these buildings so that they form a wall between between your command centre and the bottom right hand gas, this should be a solid wall off. Have your marines spawn inside the wall (amounst your SCVs).This should be more than enough to deal with the zerglings. When finished, build a bunker near where the zealots spawn and load marines into it. When its damaged repair with SCVs, build a few more bunkers closer to the gateway untill you can blow it up. Dont let marines fight zealots outside a bunker they will get crushed.

get your supply depot up and a barracks. Build then im such a way that it forms a wall between your command centre and gas. Once your barracks is build, train a marine and rally him to the middle of your SCV's, take an SCV and start building a bunker behind your barracks.
continue to train marines. Once you feel comfortable in defending with your bunker and 4 marines inside.. you may find it useful to get your vespane gas chamber on the go, and get a tech lab on your barracks so you can get Reapers. They rip Zealots to shreds, especially if you encorporate some basic micro. It will be good practise for the other challenges

just tried your tactics and it worked a treat. would have got gold but stupid me microed a reaper too close to the cannon.
thanks for the help. id love to start playing online but fear of being pants is putting me off lol. once i can complete the challenges i will be a bit more confident i think. still deciding who i like best. terran or protoss? hmm.

You need to just jump in and start playing, the challenges are only going to prepare you so much. The matchmaking is setup so you should win around 50% of the time, so you should be playing people of a similar skill level.
