**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I hate Apollo!

Been watching the MLG yesterday and today.

MLG is a terrible league IMO. All of them are always trying to be too professional though.

Why would you want a second EU account? Get a US or TW(Korean) account, just make a US battle.net account and you can put a new license on there (Just means you need to remember two passwords and have 2 emails.)

Other than the viper they all seem okay to me. And it's not as if the Tempest is going to make it all the way through beta without having its range nerfed

I'd outline all of the new units and how stupid they are but I'm too busy watching MLG XD

yeah not sure that I am big fan of making them all wear suits and stuff , I think it just makes it look like they want it to be like tv and to me I always prefer streams because they are more natural and you get taht great personalities of some of the casters coming across

MLG is horrendously Americanised obviously, but Apollo is awesome - knows exactly what he's talking about and he English. Top Lad.

Paddy, you obviously don't get it so let me explain it to you.

Since the Queens were buffed it makes it so Terrans can't delay the creep. At 13mins on Cloud Kingdom the creep was denying the fourth. With that much creep you can't take one of the further away bases because the Zerg has become too mobile due to the creep.
You can't even drop because the creep and overlord spread reveals basically the whole map.

So basically Blizzard have made a balanced matchup into probably the worst matchup in the game. Not to mention Zergs in the GSTL are on a 23/1 streak and there is NO way to delay the creep now without putting yourself behind.

The second game was MKPs fault for trying that Proxy rax on such an easy map to scout it.

If anyone is up for some either practise 1v1s or some lulz team games over the week let me know :)

Although I'm about to get into LoL as well :D

I do get it, actually. You make a one-line comment that DRG beating MKP shows how imbalanced TvZ is. If it were Idra beating MKP then yes, it probably would show it, but these are the best players in their respective races facing each other, and for me at least, DRG is currently looking the stronger of the two.

Explaining the tactic that put the Zerg player ahead of the Terran player is not showing me how imbalanced the matchup is. It was just excellent creep spread that probably no other Zerg in the world is as good at pulling off. He can't take a fourth? OMG. How will Terran ever win a game without taking a fourth?

No that's not a tactic. It's something every Zerg should do but the rate it happens now is absolutely stupid. You can't engage onto creep very easily and when theres that much creep it becomes impossible to engage head on before your maxed. By that point the Terran has lost.

Even the pros (Even DRG) has said the queen buff was stupid.

EDIT in reply to your edit: Well when the Zerg now has 5 bases and could potentially get another 2 easily. How the hell is the Terran supposed to do anything?

Banelings are in no way cost effective and you saw what happens when you can't get a fourth yet need to do damage. DRGs income allowed him to mass banelings multiple times which is a terrible move but he was so far ahead due to no damage being done (cos MKP can't unless he wishes to suicide) and MKP can't have an equal base count.

DRG is in no way looking stronger than MKP. They are both pretty much equal but then again, MKP came out stronger from pool play.

It wasn't excellent creep spread as EVERY pro Zerg i've seen has done the exact same thing since the buff was implemented.
The only person who did better was Jaedong(BW pro) because his APM is INSANE.
