**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Ah yeah I was going to post on here last night when I saw the brackets but forgot to. I need to get practicing, haven't played at all this week, so much easier just to watch the various livestreams than log in and play, especially when I'm being distracted by other stuff :) Will be playing a lot tonight and tommorrow though hopefully. GL for your game, shame I have a mirror match up to start with :(

Is your SC2 username tied to the account you have? I want to buy the full game and use a different account than the one I use now but keep my existing username (alexl.alexl)
 
I imagine there'll be a total reset on game release with the shutdown of the beta, in which case you would have that option..
 
has any one had any joy with the mac client at all on this ? My mate let me use their account as they got sent a key but the only option i have is to download the windows version
 
Guys, hopefully will soon have beta access through my Game pre-order and my question is this. My rig, as per my signature, is in a nutshell and AMD 965 BE, 4 gb ram and an Asus 5770. Will this be sufficient for playing SC2?
 
if you have crossfire you might have issues with sc2 as do i , i get invis units/minerals in some of the maps with crossfire enabled . a blizz poster on the support forums told me to try turning off crossfire to try to fix this , i find it odd that sc2 does not support crossfire yet but i was told it should in the final release . odd thing is it worked lol
 
i was in a game and was just about to wipe out his base and then the game stopped , it then gave me the option to either return to game or surrender . i chose return to game and then it crashed , was this a drop hack or game/net problem . i have cheacked my match history and the graph shows i was winning but i was defeated , why is this please cause i find it odd . only thing is it does not give me a reply to check it out , seems to me he used a drop hack
 
same, other person timed out twice then it said I was victorios and crashed.
didn't get the win from that one!
 
Am I the only one that thinks this isnt really that good MP? Its one of those games where the biggest whore wins. Most games involve either me killing his SCVs or him killing mine......wow what fun! Watched some of the high level game as well and they just do things like blocking a building with a building unit and running round and round in circles...where seems to be bugger all skill.

If I try to tech up and use different units I tend to die. If I just whore the same moves over and over again I win: 1) Reaper their SCVs asap. 2) get dropships 3) win

Yes it's just you.

If you're only winning by Reaper rushes then you're doing something very wrong. If you think Starcraft takes little skill then I don't know what to tell you.
 
Have you watched any of the battle reports? Its generally them just ****ing each other off as much as possible! Games like supreme commander had so much skill involved and tactics, sometimes battles seem to be decided in starfcraft 2 depending on luck.
