**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I lost so many stupid games today, wooooo! Still facing platinum players so I feel like I could be close to promotion despite playing very bad.

Well coaches hardly do much, in Korean households they mostly support the players and make sure they do what they need to be doing.
Some of the Pro-ESF players went to Kespa teams as coaches because they actually needed help learning the game.

But yea, EG has the most money in the foreign SC2 scene which is probably why a lot of players go there. Even the ones who don't get a wage still get their expenses paid to go to tournaments which is what a lot of Koreans want. Not to mention that huge frat house.

I remember when Crank was looking for a foreign team and he kept getting a lot of very low offers, I bet EG doesn't even start that low for players they deem worthy of a salary.

We all know why EGTL happened when Liquid's players are really the ones who're going to be winning games, it's because EG is paying for it all.

Incontrol kept talking about EG's good relationships with sponsors hinting that as a key reason for all their money. With all these signings I guess they will be dependent on that rather than results, something that could be derailed with a larger Stephano style incident. I hope the idea now is to create a team atmosphere that practices discusses strategies as you would see in Startale or w/e. They seem to just play US ladder and you can't imagine Idra discussing strategies after he's ragequit. In the longer term they're going to need results.

Yea they're really riding the early popularity and fanboys of members like IdrA, Incontrol etc. They probably are the best marketing faces of SC2 to the western world even if they are pretty bad.

I for one don't think they'll ever get back to being even the top of the NA scene, watching the SotGs a few times you can tell Incontrol and IdrA's attitudes is that of a high school kid tbh.
So the only thing that's left is for them to pay for good players. Revival was a weird pickup, I think he left TSL because he was being outshone by the many good Zergs there and wanted a change.
I mean come on, TSL FRUITDEALER <3

I can never tell with you lot XD

It's not rare to find people who seriously believe Incontrol, IdrA, Husky, Day9 etc are GSL quality players.

Yeah, reading TL is painful at times. I find it really difficult to take most posters on there seriously about their opinions on players :/.

I'm not sure EG really need to start performing to keep the sponsors happy tbh, look at all the people (idiots :p) who just want to watch bad foreigners instead of top tier Koreans in tournaments and stop watching once all the foreigners are out :(. And for some reason these same people are happy to watch Hero, Taeja etc just because they're on foreign teams.

Incontrol's carrier control is second to none, Husky is Grandmaster with all 3 races..on Korea. I'm honestly disgusted you are insulting these high caliber professionals..

Working and with the gf for the most part. Dont worry though I'll start being online again in a week or two to kick your butt with some more a-move protoss skillz. :D

Oh how's that new patch been working out so far? :)

Gdgd!

Meh it's not that big of a deal. Ravens early game can help at times. It doesn't help Toss tho IMO.

I'm actually liking the patch. Not so much that is changes things, but that it's made zerg think it's changed things and to start using muta ling/bling again. Which is not only much more challenging for them but no one is very good at it so I win ezpz

No. 1 in plat now, go me :)

I have noticed a lot more MutaLingBling players since the patch. I still see a few Ling/Infestor players that seriously think I'm not going to walk across the map with my mech army and stomp them.

I find making 2 Ravens after your first 1/2 banshees instead of cloak works very well. Having 2/3 seeker missiles works wonders, I've had some rage inducing moments with them, I hit this guys BLs morphing all on one spot and I've stopped a maxed Roach drop in my main with seeker missiles XD

Had a great game trolling this Zerg yesterday on daybreak, he was maxing on UltraLingBling and I was dropping mules all around his idling army making him waste Banelings XD
