**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Yep pulled some daft wins in 2vs2, like me as T vs 2 Z that thought they'd got it and went full troll mode, massed thors and pulled every scv for the win :D

Just a quick one, if you are having problems with Terran blindly making Vikings, just make 1 and switch to HT's. With or without range that is up to you really. The one colossus making it easier to secure the third and if he begins double Viking production in response to 1 colo and you tech switch his ground army cannot be as strong as yours.

Then it comes down to EMP's/Storms/Positioning/FF's/Upgrades and all those kind of fun things.

Thanks, I've basically started doing this and it pretty much works nicely, most people don't seem to know how to deal with it.

I still lose constantly which I don't understand a whole lot. Weird, since I nearly always have better upgrades and a lot more army supply. I guess awful engagements are just taking me down. Something is, at least.

Should I let my 5 year old play HoTs?:D:D

He enjoys watching me play (shouts at the minimap and generally tells me what's happening)

I'm a terran player but he likes the look of the "robots" (protoss)

He's pretty good at mariokart/skylanders/ipad etc but fancies a go on SC2. Think I will let him have a go on the training missions etc - he's not use to using a mouse which will be the biggest issue!!

Should be fun! (so long as he doesn't beat me!)

Its not exactly the same as Mariokart! But I would let him play it, he will be a pro when he is 10. Training missions first then straight into ranked games. He will learn fast

Yikes, i log on and find sc2 on page 6 of pc games?! Hope the game's not quite dead yet :(

I want to start playing again at some point, who's still active these days? :)

(aside: BUMP!)

I've just started playing again. After about 6+ months off I was/am pretty bad! Slowly getting used to the game again and at top plat :/

The game does seem pretty weird though compared to WoL. The maps are better but some of the units and new abilities added to the game are hardly great. If anything some of them make the games a little more dull.

Im really torn between getting SC:WoL and XCOM, i know i know their not the same type of game. But im pretty sure i'll have both in the future, which is best to get stuck into in the immediate future?

For some reason I've found myself getting bored of HOTS a lot quicker than I got bored of Wings when it first came out. Maybe then it was a case of starting in bronze, learning the game and moving up the ladder to diamond so signs of progress. Whereas in HOTS I placed in diamond, stayed in diamond and never go up or down?

Whatever it is, I'm bored now :(
