**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I am hoping the balance patch brings the overseer speed buff. I hate Bio/Mine with a passion.

One little micro error and half the banelings disappear leading to getting rolled, nothing makes me more angry than having the overseer, with the speed upgrade, trundling at the back of the army.

I also share your hatred for the current situation with the overseer!

Not played this for a good while now. I always struggled to find the confidence to play 1v1 in earnest. If anyone is up for some coaching and some games let me know! If I get back into it, I may consider a purchase of HotS.

There is unranked laddering as well in HoTS, so you can just play without caring about points or ladder ranking. It really helps to get you into the swing of it without the ladder anxiety hitting. I am usually on quite a lot, getting my practice on, can always give you a hand/advice.

Stop A-moving and build overseers.

L2P.

We build overseers, they just die when you retreat. So you lose 3 overlords and remake, then remorph them. For them to die in the next push, as stimmed marines like a good overseer for breakfast. The whole idea of the patch is to enable us to have a chance of keeping them alive to then save the gas to help get to hive/make blings and other useful units.

It has nothing to do with L2P :P

Although Scarlets style of not bothering and getting the Mutalisk cloud to a high number is an interesting new tactic.

Definitely, it's 100% imba and not just you playing terribly XD

The muta style is not his style originally.

Nobody here play anymore?:P I've stopped playing as much, just play like 5 games a week, but this thread is dead :P

I've not played in a while. I don't like to play if I don't have the time to commit to being competitive!.. sounds weird I guess but still... I've been playing FF14AAR for the past few weeks as I find I can just pop on and play a bit then log off again. RL getting in the way of teh gaymez!

Good micro from the terran, but not much that single colossus can do there. Should've just used the archon as bait and ran the col away, but hindsight is always good when watching someone else.

I still play a few each week. Been playing 4s with my terran just to get familiar with the race before I try it out in 1s.

Anyone up for a big ol OcUK chat channel group team game ladder session and some arcade games for a future set date?

Heart of the Swarm Balance Update - November 11, 2013

Today, we'll be making the following balance changes for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm multiplayer:

Protoss

Oracle

Movement speed increased from 3.375 to 4.
Acceleration increased from 2 to 3.
Units that burrow or cloak while under the effects of Revelation will once again be revealed after unburrowing or uncloaking.
Terran

Armory

Vehicle and Ship Weapon upgrades have been combined.
Siege Tank

Siege Mode attack period decreased from 3.0 to 2.8.
Widow Mine

Sentinel Missiles now deal reduced damage to units caught within its splash radius based on their distance from the target:
40 damage within 1.25 radius.
20 damage from 1.25 to 1.5.
10 damage from 1.5 to 1.75.
Zerg

Roach Warren

The Tunneling Claws upgrade now increases burrowed Roach movement speed from 1.41 to 2.
Thank you very much for taking the time to playtest each of the changes throughout the last month. The vast amount of feedback that you, pro players, and the StarCraft II Community at-large offered during this testing period has been instrumental in our decision to move forward with the changes above. We'll share more of our thoughts on StarCraft II balance in the future, but for now, let us know what you think in the comments section below

the changes are great imho except from the oracle buff. totally unnecessary

also i feel the small tank buff is insufficient to compensate for the widow mine nerf, and that T is as a result somewhat UP in TvZ now.
