anyone having problems with the game? i was playing fine earlier but now as soon as i get into the game the visuals just lock up altho the music still plays.
 
I heard the ladder wipe will come with the next patch, you will only have to do 1 placement match to get into a league.

The patch will come before the end of December and most probably soon after the GSL finals

Also about the b net problems I can not even start the game, it freezes on the start up. So I presume b net is down

Moved up to like 10th in my bronze league and hopefully the increasing difficulty of my opponents means I'm playing silvers.

you can check your opponents profile after the game. I'm in high Bronze and most of my games are now against Silver...sometimes even a Gold. The matchmaking seems pretty solid.

Yea that's how i got on, had 3 confirmations that this works so far. :) Just unplug lan cable/disable wireless, load up game, reconnect, job done.
 
Wonder what's the logic behind the single re-slot match. Guess that means they have more thoroughly technical and ever-improving ways of 'judging' a match (build, timing, macro/micro aspects, etc.).

Might possibly just use your past stats? i understadn why people might not like 5 matches to ladder you, but 1 match is too short without using other data

Oh my, I've won 9 straight 1v1 games and am hoping for the 10th! :D Assuming there's an achievement just as there was with winning 5 in a row.

I've came close a few times before but obviously fell short each time. A little nervous right now when I need to be calm and focused, so maybe I should take a break and come back to it when I'm not overly thinking about it so much! :eek:

There isn't an achievement for winning 10 in a row,not if you are terran,I don't know about other races though.Good old days when I was getting 12-13 wins in a row,now I struggle to get more than 3 :(

I play random (decided to stick with it for a while longer). Either way it'll feel good! :)

Edit: Just checked. You're right, there isn't one for 10, only 3 and 5, irrespective of race(s) played. Oh well...
