Playing some 3v3 team games with 2 mates, got placed in bronze because we were messing around with proxy battlecruisers etc. Our 2nd game in bronze leauge we come up against a diamond player with 3100 wins in 1v1. Has the emblem for 1000 wins as each race option.
okay.
Hi guys.
Was interested in finally getting this game after watching several of Day[9]s dailys, and discovering that a couple of my friends play it too. However, they are US players, while I have some friends in the UK also looking at getting the game so I'd like to be able to play with them to.
Anyway, I heard a rumor that you couldn't play with US owners of the game if you have an EU copy, and vice versa? Is this true? Because if it is, I'm deffinately giving it a miss. I mean WoW having seperate regions does make some sense, there's so many servers, different payment and so on. But why include that in Starcraft 2? The older battle.net games used to let you pick the server to play on, which made sense. Stay in your main region, but then if you want to play with a friend, hop over. Slightly higher pings shouldn't be a huge ammount of problems.
Anyway, can anyone confirm this is true? The official forums seem to be down, and I've not found anywhere recent confirming it, just year old posts. Because I don't really want to buy the game if I'm not going to be able to play with all my friends :x
Ever since they said there'll be 'rewards' (I know, probably just a little 'medal' nobody will ever notice) at the end of the season when the reset hits, I've been a wee bit obsessed with being numero uno in my Gold division. No, I'm not cheesing to do it, just playing a few more games each sitting. Currently nearing striking distance...about 70 points to go.![]()
Dont see how you can just blame it on terran. Same happens with zealots + lings/roach. Basically theres cheese from all races and its so common its annoying hellyou wanna tech? nope **** that, you gotta go MARINES MARINES ****ing MARINES.
MARINECRAFT 2
the same reward is issued to top 8 though, so doesnt matter if your number 1.

had so many 2v2s yesterday and all people seem to do in that is build 9 suvs and go 2 rax 5 marines each and push before 4mins..... mega cheese imo.
i wish sc2 player base would just stop the gayness tbh, i thought id seen the end of it in 1v1,3v3s but then i walked into 2v2;s and it seems 90% of the matches are full of it. They seem to tag up with the bumboy buddies and go match into match with the same strategy....well i say strategy but really its a big pile of steaming **** that requires zero skill.

MARINECRAFT 2
ps. needless to say im no longer willing to play any 2v2s
.You can do two things. You can create another account and buy the NA version of starcraft (you will need two seperate clients). Or you can ring blizzard and they can transfer your EU account to a NA account. You do lose everything though when they swap.
I prepared a fairly long message about ways to deal with early pressure in 2v2s, but I think it would be easier to just ask for a few example replays. I don't mind taking a look, and I'm sure people higher ranked than me don't either.
build barracks, thats all you can do at 4 sodding minutes into the game.
.That is true. However, what he does is suggest a general playstyle to combat with early rushes. Sorting out the details is up to you, but his principles I absolutely agree with.as someone has already commented:
The only way to defend early rushes is to either prep for a rush yourself and out micro your opponents, or tech up and counter your opponent's unit composition.
and at 4 minutes into the game:
tech up : fail.
build bunker: -2 marines automatically , they can constantly reinforce easily to crush even if you pull suvs.
the whole strat essentially turns into a 'who can build 2 rax the quickest'
day9 vids are good but their not the bible and most of his vids are a 'perfect example' of what he is trying to talk about, and he often forgets to tell it from the other side or go into the 'what ifs'
.
