Thanks for the advice guys will give it all a look if i do multiplayer but i am usually crap online apart from fps's so will wait and see but if i do will try and hook up with some of you guys to learn from as well 
. Having trouble now connecting to battle.net but at least i am far from alone with that many seem to have a problem maybe it is down or just really slow as i have forwarded all porets and allowed everything to do with blizzard unrestricted internet access so time will tell.

Apollo teaches you how to progress through the lower leagues playing with safe builds.

The playstyles of lowbies in bronze,silver and gold are much different than plat/diamond and then above those it's a whole different game.

I'd recommend doing lots of custom games instead of laddering at first. Otherwise you will just destroy your mmr and take forever to get out bronze like me. I hopped straight into ladder when I knew nothing about the game and it took me forever to get out.

Join the /v/ channel, I hang out a lot there with peps, always good games and times to be had, lots of spec opportunities aswell for those wanting to learn. Unless ur master you won't get any games but like I said banter is good and so is the watching.

Didnt even know there were custom games lol..
I played vs comp mainly when no internet. I can easily beat Hard comp and very hard if i turtle the opening push they always do.
Lately i been playing Co-op 3v3 and usually im top on all aspects so i feel my macro game is fairly good for a noobie, i am just not great on the strats or cheeses..
lost to a baneling drop into main yesterday sigh...
Thats good, I wouldnt worry about losing though. If anything winning gives a false sense of security, whereas when you lose you can see the mistakes your doing. Not long ago I was playing and after watching my loses I realised I had lots of extra larvae just sitting around and not building anything with it. When i noticed that my wins shot up!
