I've never really encountered mass-battlecruisers, but feedback and stalkers should be enough to kill most of them (if he just sent BCs to your main).

Hmm, you missed my point a little - maybe I wasn't clear. I wasn't asking how I lost that particular match and what I should've done to win it. It's the first time I've played an opponent like that and I don't imagine one like him will come up again anytime soon.

All I was asking is why Battlecruisers are so rare when they seemed to do so well against a fairly decent army composition, only lacking maybe one of the units that counters them. In the late game is it really worth having 4 marauders instead of one? I play plenty of Terrans who seem to get units like Ravens and Banshees against me, as well as upgrades for vikings, so it just seems kind of odd that they're mostly a novelty unit at the moment.

They're rare because if you turtle long enough to try and get to them, as T you've usually died from something before then. You do see them super late game TvT though when both sides switch to sky terran.

I play T, it takes SOOOO long to pump out a battlecruiser, to get 10 up you must have been outside for a long time. And LOTS of gas plus they are so slow.

From what i've noticed a trend in the pro scene is that Terrain are Very good at being mobile. The way terrain win is not usually by going death ball vs death ball. Its by drops and being mobile, splitting up the enemies forces and picking them off.

BC are slow, cost too much food, take an extra building before you can start pumping. Just doesnt quite suit its style, and if going pure mech (which you cant in some situations say vs P), i think people still prefer vikings + ravens + such for mobility.

There's generally a few people around. I'm always up for custom games if i ever come online, i'll generally be hanging around the OcUK chat room or feel free to add me on VoidPtr.167. Can do casual practice or some more hardcore coaching/training i'm pretty easy

GG guys. It's frightening how much damage a single banshee can do, mostly in terms of screwing up opponents macro. If the tech lab starport had been scouted, 3 rax could have won!

Fragger, I need some help from you. Not being funny, but I think everytime we've played in the tournaments I've won but you've progressed far better than I have on the ladder. Need some tips bro!

Which is basically what TvT once both players have reasonable macro is all about, more so than any other match up.

Yeah pretty tough to keep the chat going for long. I was even missing timings in that first minute if you watch closely!

Sure, lets play a few games tonight. I'm on even more than usual now, having been made redundant from my job last week

Finding it hard to stablise at the moment, I'll have streaks like 6W then 6L, maybe it's just the fact MMR is so varied in gold league, as it's the most populated league. I also suffer from a gambling type of mentality; basically I'll keep playing until I win, then have a break as if I've now got something to lose, silly really.

Is there anywhere else you guys communicate to practice etc? I rarely see anyone in the OcUK channel.
