Snow Leopard has trim (with a small change to a file).

Have it enabled on both my MBP (80Gb X25-M) and MP2009 (160Gb X25-M).

Works as far as I can tell!

It wasn't retracted ... it was requested that it be pulled (according to the update on MacRumors) ...

Retracted implies that it was withdrawn by the publisher because there was something wrong with it. Being removed on request implies that someone may have jumped the gun and Apple aren't happy with it.
