OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) Roars Into Existence...

Whatever. I don't like the word either, but you knew exactly what I meant therefore it served its purpose.

My biggest gripe with Lion is the removal of Rosetta. I had certain software that was PowerPC only, took a while for a suitable replacement to be found.

As for "Fans" using software months ahead of release, I think you meant developers. Unless the fans are so hardcore that they're paying through the nose for developer privileges, then it's dodgy software.

Surely its not dodgy software if they're paying for a Developer account.

Paying through the nose = £60 per year?

Not sure if trolling... :)

OS X versions are hardly service packs. Windows SPs very rarely provide anything more than a round up of patches and bug fixes. Apple tend to use these software releases as platforms for new features, enhancements to existing features, as well as bug fixes and patches.

Just seems like another backwards step to me. Looks like Apple are determined to make the Desktop experience like iOS which I do not find a good move. Never bought an app yet and I own an iPad and a Mac - what are they all about, apart from making money for folk?
