Osram Nightbreakers?

Went driving and have to say for £30 they were worth buying. The range has slightly increased and the lit area is much brighter...white as opposed to a dull white/yellow. The free bulbs for the sidelights are decent too. The blue tint is cool.

Fitted mine but my old bulbs were Osram:o

Ah well, pretty sure they weren't Nightbreakers. I'll see how different they are when it gets dark!

Dunno what they are, probably the same bulbs it had 8yrs ago when the car was made.

New ones are a LOT whiter though, impressed:)

the lights on my caddy are terrible, there worse than standard e39 lights  bulbs aint been changed in about 4 years the guy said. theyt ake that dam silly 9005 fitting tho :(

I always wondered how a bulb can be 50% brighter etc too considering it is the same essential rating as the original part!
The filament goes to a higher temperature with the same amount of power, giving more lumens per watt, and a higher colour temp also. It's like running an "overclocked bulb". ;) Often a filament that is run hotter lasts for less hours, but I've had nightbreakers on there for a few months so far and no failure as of yet. :)

Overclocked bulbs? OcUK should stock these :P

I never really gave much thought to the bulbs in the car in the past - I just used to pray they were all working the day before an MOT. Recently, satnav has been routing me via some nice dark roads near Jodrell Bank - I now realise why lighting is so important!

Decided to try the nightbreakers out - though with the brighter evenings approaching, I could probably have done with these back in Autumn.

These and the Philips X-tremes seemed fairly closely matched in discussions around the web, the osrams won out though as they were marginally cheaper.

Well I finally found some decent bulbs for my wierd fitting 9006 lowbeam bit pricey at 44 quid but their 66 on website.

Got PIAA XTREME WHITE PLUS 90% more light and the guys on caddy forum swear by them. So if their any good we can perhaps get comparison to the night breakers .
