** OUR SECOND 8 PACK APPROVED OC BUNDLE: OVERCLOCKED, DISCOUNTED, ELITE TIER VERY FAST!! **

yeah, i had issues with the ram after about 24hrs of it being set up.

I dont know how many of these posts are from the black friday sales, but this seems to be a very common issue, and if most are from that sale of 60 units (iirc), thats quite a shocking ratio

Mines was. I hope ocuk are kind enough to replace with alternative ram, lost faith in this ram/mobo

Just saw some activity on the topic and noticed your post. Ty for the advice, but yeah it's not the cable this time.

Not to worry, I think I've come up with a reasonable workaround. I am going to try and buy a new house with a spare room that I can put the PC in, so the lights and fans won't bother anyone.

Have you turned off fast boot in windows? I had the same issue and this fixed it.

:( have to wait 28 days for ram rma :,( just realised my whole uni project is on computer :(( can't get it down without ram :///

I got approval beforehand, but i bought identical ram on the understanding that it'd be refunded upon RMA. I installed it, then RMA'd mine and it was done within about 12hrs of them receiving it. It took me about 6wks to get my refund because the card details were out of date and i really wanted it put back as credit, but 'apparently' they cant do that... but then the guy claimed they dont do gift vouchers, so me buying £1050 worth must have been my imagination, it also must have been in my imagination when they refunded £200 back to credit when i bought this bundle

Of course, if theres none in stock atm, that'd be another issue.
edit - its in stock, though i suppose having a spare £100 as a student could be a problem.

Well after you having the mobo back for a second time, I decided to do a little modding etc.

Went from :

And ended up with :

Only for the motherboard still to be stuck in a boot loop and its now been stripped and being sent back tomorrow this time with the CPU and RAM, if possible can I not have any of it back and swap the parts to Skylake if need be, I have no faith in this any more, and so far I'm about £100 in coolant down the drain in RMA.

i'm gonna send my mobo tomorrow in for rma aswell, had boot loop issue. thought it was down to ram only.

I haven't had a working PC since I bought it all back in the Black Friday offer, spent 3.2k ish that time, then more again recently for another pump/res more fittings, etc etc.

Lost for words with it, non stop issues, and I end up throwing money down the drain for nothing.

I'm gonna ring ocuk tomorrow see if I can get replacement mobo and ram sent out quicker then rma turn around

I don't think I will be buying looking at the issues. It would be good if OCUK could post something positive to at least help the customers above. As they involve RMA issues they can be said to be genuine purchases who have lost out. :(

I think i will probably go down the sales of good act route. Emailed management no response. Got offered partial refund, for ram. It's clear from this thread i am not the only one having these issues from the black friday bundle. Not willing to wait 28 days for the same issue twice. Sent a webnote yet got no response. Will think twice about buying from here again. Avoid the Gaming 5p x99 motherboard and Teamgroup Ram from ocuk.

Well I got offered £457 as a refund for the mobo/cpu and ram if I wanted to swap, expected tbh as part of a bundle, but that wouldn't cut the mustard and buy any alternative, its back being checked now, so I guess its wait and see what the outcome is.

Amusing to see the bundle not being on sale for quite some time now and listed as out of stock, yet you can happily purchase all the parts as separates, seeing the number of people that have had trouble with this combo I'm guessing an underlying incompatibility is to blame somewhere, I would happily swap to something else given the chance, but I'm not spending anymore as I think I've invested enough in this PC at present, especially to be 5+ months down the line and still not have a working PC, I know others rave about OCUK's CS, I'm just not seeing it.

On the bright side, when I went in the loft to get a box to post back the bundle, I found some haribos :D

^^ Actually your wrong.

The dual thick Asetek Cooler has been out of stock for a while as we sold out when the last bundle with Free SSD was placed on the website.

The massive problems you speak of are actually less than the normal RMA rate for the components. So the compatibility is fine. I still have the two bundles I used fr testing running 100% perfect from day one.

I fixed your bundle personally and tested it something I see as great CS to be honest.

Which bundle, the first one when a motherboard was replaced or the one you have now ? ( 3rd time ), not had email to say anything yet etc, oh and nice side stepping the issue of 5 months with something still not fit for purpose......

Had my bundle running since i got it with no problems, happily running at 4.3ghz.

There really is only a handful of people having problems that are having problems and for the amount that they have sold its a small %. (they sold more than the initial limit.)

Seeing that 8pack is now going to personally sort it out for you is great service, i have dealt with rma on faulty components from other places and trust me it does not go that smoothly.

If your really not happy about the bundle then just take the refund. But i doubt you can get anything equivalent for what you paid. So just sell the mobo/ram when you get it back and get a different mobo/ram combo.
