Outriders

Would not say it was a great game as it it is what I tend to call a rinse and repeat game as all areas require you to do exactly what you did in the last area.
Considering my most played game of all time, with thousands of hours in it, is Path of Exile I'm sure I can dredge up some amount of replayability rinsing and repeating
 
Yeah I've seen, it dpes obscene amounts of damage

Its the first time with the devastator that I can pretty much sit back and chill. Usually I’m running around trying to cling to survival. The more I focus into anomalies, cool downs and skill leach the more unkillable become. I don’t even use guns anymore.
 
I can be really enjoying myself playing this game but it's one of those where if I die and I think it was bullshiddles, like getting stunlocked by Maulers, then I'm so quick to just stop playing in a hissy fit

Especially when your right at the end of an expedition and within a few seconds of victory, then boom, dead, no rewards. It’s why I tend to coop them now.

With the new devastator build I can carry a whole team in expedition levels a fair bit higher than my gear. It’s fun going around smashing everything with melee, I feel like The hulk!

I had it with boomtown last night, last pack of enemies and I got stuck against a wall and the camera did not like that. Couldn't see what was going on, couldn't tell where enemies were, constantly getting knocked about by melee guys so no chance to think. I know it's only a short expedition and I could have gone again but man it was annoying.

As far as this though, I don't know if you're aware but a chest appears in the outriders camp with your loot in it. Of course you don't get the bonuses but it has all the stuff enemies would have otherwise dropped in it
 
That's one of the thing I enjoy about Expeditions, failing them still gets loot back at camp if you've passed the first area.

What build are you using? I'm struggling with my Dev in T9+. Running Earthquake, Impale, Tremor currently, although I've been switching around with Golem and and Human Comet.

Firearms builds do seem far easier since guns scale far faster than skills do.

I’ve just started playing this. I’m enjoying it. I think it’s one of those games that just simply shooting stuff is addicting like Destiny etc. It’s just a fun game for now, although I paid £49.99 which is a bit steep in my opinion. The performance seems to tank in the base part, and I’m using a 3090, 10900k. Hopefully more content and performance fixes will be On the horizon.
 
I'm very much stuck at T7 and keep failing 8 on he last few enemies. I'm so bad at landing crits I may have to use the T3 weapon mod that makes it so after a killing shot you get 5 seconds of guaranteed crits
 
I had a Chronosuit piece drop
WHY did it have to be the boots with the T3 mod "when twisted rounds ENDS etc etc". I don't want it to end I want the mod that makes killing shots refill your clip when using twisted rounds damn

Patch News:
First Patch:

  • This is our first big patch for the main Outriders game.

  • As of today, the deployment of this patch is scheduled for next week, as we are using this week to identify as many severe issues as possible, fix them and then thoroughly test the changes across all platforms. Submission through platform holders adds on a little bit of time as well, which is why we are not able to deploy this patch any earlier.

  • We are doing our utmost to deliver you a stable patch as soon as possible and we are continually looking at ways to bring the patch release day earlier. This is why we are not yet committing to a patch release date, as we may still be able to release the patch before such a date.

  • We will let you know as soon as we have a confirmed release schedule, so please do keep an eye on our social channels and in particular our Twitter.
First Patch - Patch Notes:
PC & Console Platforms:

  • Once platforms have been updated to the same patch version, cross-play across platforms will become viable again

  • Overall stability improvements for the matchmaking service

  • Crash Fixes
    • Will Fix a multiplayer crash that could result in client players having their inventory wiped

    • Will fix the crash when completing the "A Bad Day" side quest.

    • Will fix the crash that occurs in No Man's Land when your language is set to Spanish (Yes, we know. Video game code is a magical thing).

    • Will fix crash on launch issues

    • Will include many more "random" crash fixes
      • We are confident that these fixes will address the majority of crashes reported, as there are only a handful of root causes but the crashes they generate appear in a number of places.
  • Will fix the HUD disappearing in certain cases

  • Will fix bugs that interfere with players re-spawning in multiplayer Expeditions

  • Will fix bugs with players getting stuck on geometry (including when using mavity Leap) or falling out of the world.

  • Will change the default matchmaking setting from "Open" to "Closed".
    • You will still be able to manually change this setting to "Open" through your game settings

    • This change will prevent players from joining games where the host didn't intend to play in multiplayer. It will also cut down on AFK lobbies

    • This will also help improve matchmaking times, as the queues will be less likely to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of constant matchmaking requests generated by "open" games.
  • Many other minor fixes and improvements
PC Specific:

  • Will Fix a performance issue where GPU is not being fully utilized. This should help with stuttering and DX11/12 issues
Additional fixes and changes are being worked upon to be delivered via our later follow up patch.
 
It’s a very poor patch. Their end game literally pushes everyone toward dps builds, and then they nerf said builds, in a PvE game, and then also shorten the expedition timers - timers that few want in the first place. It’s a bold move with a new player base who are already frustrated by a rocky launch and a number of other issues that aren’t addressed in this patch. I’m not surprised the community is frustrated with this patch. I’d also argue whilst they’ve aimed this patch at the streamer who min/max’s and who have caused most of these issues, they actually hit the casual gamer harder. I’ve really enjoyed this game, but this patch shows us everything we need to know about their future strategy.

There are different tiers in the class points menu, top, middle, bottom. Top is firepower focussed, middle health regen and bottom anomaly focussed (basically the skills you use like earthquake). Middle is pointless since top and bottom can restore your health anyway. Then you need to look at your armour to see whether it is further enhancing your chosen build - for anomaly I look for anomaly boost, cooldown reduction and skill leach.

All devastator builds other than anomaly hit a wall at about WT8 where you just get beaten down by the AI.

Thanks have reset my class points and hopefully made my character stronger.
