Overclockers UK - the past, present and future

So what does the future hold for me? That’s something I’m looking forward to finding out, but in the meantime I have been asked to remain as an Admin of the forums and I have agreed to do so.

Heartiest congrats Spie!

Racism and Islamophobia have always been a constant problem on the forum and serve to act as a deterrent towards a family friendly atmosphere (not withstanding the fact that customers come in all colours and creeds), I know it has become much better with Freefaller's appointment, but is this something that will be monitored more closely now that you are admin? :)

Thanks for the great forums, and for the business I've done with OcUK over the years.

If I'm honest I have my scepticisms about how long things will retain their current quality, but nonetheless, both the business and the forum have my best wishes for a bright future. :)

Damnnn thats big news man !!, congrats, all the best and all. I do worry now that OCUK's winning awesomness, customer services and forums will change :O :( I hope not, as a PC shop, its bang on, please keep it the same!!! :)

Are you trolling?

What? By tackling racism head on, and attracting a wider audience to the forum? I think everyone has a moral duty towards this, after all, we live in a multicultural society and this isn't going to change.

Surely, any right thinking person would want to join a family forum as this is soon to be an international company? Or am I wrong?

sorry but i will not be buying from ocuk now the money will go abroad in a round about way :(

Haha it's ok I wouldn't anyways, I will never be buying from OCUK again in any case, not until I get compensation, but that'll probabley come the 12th of Never, so I have other means of buying computer hardware now :P

Does this mean Jesus.jpg and a certain bear are allowed again? :p

If it were me I'd definitely be having an "OMG what will I do!" moment. Must be a scary change!

From seeing OcUK grow from it's inception in '99 to how it is in 2012, it is a fantastic result for Mark in that relatively short time frame.

Excellent stuff, well done Mark and all the best :)

ditto ^^
