yes you have to up the volts.
Don't worry I'm noob to OC too.
After you have set the Clock speed (Ratio) you need to find a voltage that works for it. so just keep uping it till it works then test it using intel burn test. And if it crashes or fails then up it more. then when it passes run the test 2twice or more to double check then run some of your most cpu intensive games and make sure it's all good
I have only got mine at 4.2 at the moment. I haven't really needed to go higher yet.

Edit: The voltages appear further down the page. you'll know when you see it. Just don't go too high. Little increases at a time. Start from about 1.25 or something. then keep increasing little by little. =D
