Overclocking GPU and CPU.

ahahah. You scared the hell out of me... 1.52V is the chips max... and you're suggested not to go over 1.45V xD thats alright then. Get prime95 and make sure you're on win7 sp1 so it runs AVX commands. Also get IBT if you can I found it quite easily on Google. Realtemp as well CPU-ID (guess you already have) and the HWMonitor also by the CPU-ID guys is pretty handy.

Try 1.2V and take off 0.005V until you BSOD then add about 0.005V and you should be fine. if you BSOD on login/prime with in 5 mins put it up by 0.005V again. Doubt you will need more than 1.2V for the clock your trying to achieve though.

Try 1.15V if it doesn't work then go to 1.2V and take off 0.05V until you no longer BSOD.

I am at 1.15 atm

Edit. OK I up'd it to 1.20 going to test that. Make sure that's all good.

though a question. Why don't people just leave it on auto. Rather than going through the hassle of testing every one?

and do you think it's worth pushing the chip further than 4.2?

ok, I'm stable at 1.20v and 4.2ghz :D

during test it only reached 69c on Intel Burn Test

Thanks for your help :D

Though I haven't really noticed a fps increase on anything LOL

PLEASE HELP

how do i get my Asrock above 4.4 on auto..... it wont accept 4.6, it's crashing instantly do i have to up the volts as well..... i apologise right now for being a bewbie...... i have adjusted nothing else just set it to 4.6, save and exit

if so please tell me what voltage to add and where this appears in my Asrock Bios ..thanks

yes you have to up the volts.

Don't worry I'm noob to OC too.

After you have set the Clock speed (Ratio) you need to find a voltage that works for it. so just keep uping it till it works then test it using intel burn test. And if it crashes or fails then up it more. then when it passes run the test 2twice or more to double check then run some of your most cpu intensive games and make sure it's all good :D

I have only got mine at 4.2 at the moment. I haven't really needed to go higher yet.

Hope that helps ^^^

If not i'll try to explain better.

Edit: The voltages appear further down the page. you'll know when you see it. Just don't go too high. Little increases at a time. Start from about 1.25 or something. then keep increasing little by little. =D
