It would be silly not to release it on PC :)

They did it with SA and it was a success so ....

I give it around Christmas time without any huge delays for it to appear

GTA4 sucks on both consoles they sadly just aint got the power to run it, the pc version will be great i imagine, on the fps side i can't say i noticed any slow down on the ps3 version yet.

kind of contradict yourself there then no
you have no problems but the console cant run it?

So they ain't got enough power to run it but you haven't noticed slowdown on the version with more framerate problems?

Hmm...ok :)

I also have both versions and I've noticed more dips on the PS3 version, I don't think I'm the only one to have picked up on this.

The PC version which Rockstar have always announced a few months after the console version (PS2 in the past) was released. No reason to think it will be different this time.

san andreas was the last game they release on pc
i would not be so sure a pc version is coming no money in it

They obviously thought there was money in all the other PC versions; why not for GTA IV?

Well they haven't released a PC version of a game now for some time. No Manhunt 2 on PC, no Bully on PC - maybe they are moving away from it as a format?

I tell ya, I'm so glad that I generally don't notice framrate problems like some of you on here (I can't really tell the difference between 30fps & 60fps if I'm honest). Seems like if you are sensitive to the framerate drops then it's ruining one of the best games of this gen for you :(

Exactly, some people on here are just silly. Just enjoy the game. I enjoyed Saints Row without noticing any screen tearing, I enjoyed Crysis without worrying that it was not 60 FPS, Im sure I'll enjoy GTA4 without worrying.

Possible but GTA is in another league compared to those other titles. They are guaranteed to make another load of money by releasing a PC version.

If you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60fps then you should get your eyes tested

(Note before I get flamed, I don't have a problem with GTA being 30fps - but it should be a stable framerate)

I do find that a stable framerate is important. If a game's going at 30FPS constantly, I'm fine with it. When a game starts wavering between 60 and 40FPS it really gets on my nerves... Typically I'll cap a framerate to a playable minimum whenever possible.

yes, but some people are saying that GTA4 drops below 25fps!!!

You really have to have seen the difference before you can tell the difference between 30 and 60 (ie. played a game with an FPS counter, eg. a pc game with Fraps turned on).

He si right though, the games been in production how long, yet it still has obvious frame rate issues, yet doesnt look that good.

What other game on this scale looks better?

If you want something pretty go play Gears or Crysis...
