Overtaking a funeral procession

Atticusfinch clearly has no idea of the definition of "morals" and "decency".

Poor attitude.

Thats a bit silly to say such that.

Not really. Seems quite a restrained post to me given the statement made by Atticusfinch.

I find it quite disgusting that someone could actually have that stance.

I guess the location says it all really.

Not to tar everyone with the same brush, but London is like a human ants nest, and people seem to lose their ability to be respectful.

Perhaps its not their fault, and just the product of living in an overcrowded, polluted, concrete jungle?

I grew up in London, and everytime I go back to visit, its more crowded, noisier, smellier, and just so damn busy.

Not sure I could ever live at that pace of life again.

i've only ever been part of 1 funeral procession, it was about 8 miles from the church to the crem! There were about 20 cars following the 2 horse drawn hearse (they had to have 2 hursts to fit the amount of flowers in. Very sad day, my gf's cousin's 6 month old baby :()

There were actually occasions where we had to go through red lights to keep the procession together (changed after a few cars went through), but everyone on the road seemed to understand and let us go even though their lights were on green.

One side note is fair play to the horses, they kept up a steady fast trot the entire way! They certainly looked knackered when we arrived.

Not being an arse mate, but as its a car forum and all that, the actual word is hearse (or hearses) and is pronounced the same.

It's a common mistake. :)

Don't know too many car forums that regularily talk about hearses :p Tis what you get for posting at 2am lol.

If you have to ask, then i fear you'll never understand.

This, with about another 100 rolleyes.

Your attitude literally epitomises what is wrong with the UK, and the mindless, thick, rude, and moronic underclass who dribble their way though life like disabled, stoned chimps, and thats an insult to a stoned chimp!

Bloody well said.

Location: London

says it all really...

sorry to those Londoners here who are polite and respectful but your in the minority ! :D

i wouldn't dream of passing them on a single carriageway and i would only do it on a dual if i knew that sitting behind them would alter my journey time massively. its not even like they go massively under the speed limit .

Except for the fact that he's actually from NZ and has already explained why he thought it was acceptable......

I don't necessarily agree with his view point, but can see where he's coming from seeing as it's more acceptable to do in NZ.

Oddly, give the number of people that die daily even in a local town, I can count on two hands the number of times I think I've been stuck behind one.
