Overwatch 2 is Official

Mainly support for me - everything - Ana is probably my weakest - Moira/Zen/Bap/Mercy strongest.

DPS - Mainly Sym/Torb/Junk/sjourn/solider

Tank - Dva (probably my weakest class)

I've been having a lot of fun with Ashe lately, headshots are extremely satisfying.

I'll switch to Soldier if I'm struggling to put down consistent DPS though. Highest I've been is diamond 5 as damage.

I struggle with any kind of melee class.

Lifeweaver is very very clunky - too many abilities - no "flow" at all. Healing doesn't seem particularly great either. The pull away is decent but overall doesn't seem great (also locked behind season pass)

Lifeweaver has a very high skill ceiling, can see top players doing very well with him given time. He'll no doubt get buffed just like Rammatra did a few weeks after his release.

Anyone see the issue with 1st round on Hollywood attack?

Supposed to be Mid Plat - Open queue. 1 tank/2 dps and 2 support

Lost inside 30 seconds - at least it was over fast.

Wheeey! 3 ban appeals with immediate closures later, and having resigned to losing my account, I got an email early this morning to say it was a mistake and my account is reinstated! I'm so relieved!
Good news. Did they/will they give you a reason for accidentally banning you? was it related to people abusing the report system?

Good news. Did they/will they give you a reason for accidentally banning you? was it related to people abusing the report system?

It was very vague and generic:

Recent activity on this account has shown various and continued actions deemed inappropriate for Overwatch. These actions violate our Code of Conduct and create an unacceptable detriment to our players.

The link just gives your usual no griefing, no hacking, no hate speech or offensive language etc etc., which I did none of. The appeal replies were also incredibly generic, just "Based on the evidence, the action was upheld and additional reviews of the account will not be performed. We consider this situation closed and future contacts regarding the action may go unanswered."

I have no idea what the supposed evidence was, but clearly it was a load of rubbish anyway. Honestly it's a bit scary and frustrating that the reporting system can be abused so easily. I saw one Tweet where someone just ticked all the report boxes available for someone, and it showed 4 separate "your report has been received" type messages, as if that was 4 separate reports. I don't know if it actually means that, but if it does, one group reporting like that and you could be done for.

I'm a bit annoyed that I'm now a week behind on the battle pass and I paid for a cheap sim card to open another account, but hey-ho, I'm definitely more glad I haven't lost 7 years worth of progress.

An absolute colossal fail. I played a lot of L4D back in the day, and I still play a lot of Deep Rock Galactic today. The thought of playing something like those in the Overwatch universe seemed amazing. But all these seasonal PVE events up till now - Junkenstein, the Archives missions, they've been largely underwhelming. You play them for an hour, if that, then there's not really much to do with them. I literally haven't even bothered with the latest Starwatch event because it looks boring, and the feedback has been mixed at best. If they're the level we're to expect with these half-baked rejects they're scattering in the season passes now, then dear God, the game is going to go down like a cement-filled lead balloon.

I wish I weren't so invested in it, but I've played since OW1 launch, so it's been a constant in my life for 7 years. I probably will just keep dipping in and out till it literally dies, which at this rate might be sooner than expected.
