Overwatch 2 is Official

A new low for Lizzard and another scam.

Listening to the devs speak about their "new content" (although ultimately not to blame for another disastrous fail) is the very defintion of delusional.

"Set of values we've aligned on"

I'd forgotten there was even going to be a PvE element...

I'm still enjoying it. Interesting how you can now play pretty much any role with no more than a minute's wait. It used to be if you fancied some DPS you had to wait 10 minutes.

Uninstalled....(again!)

Just bored of leavers/trolling widow/genji's etc....

Got a ridiculous amount of hours in the game but just feel that without a proper team/people to play with regularly, it's just pure "luck" if you win or not.

Perfect example the other night.....

Both teams come out with the exact same line up.... literally same characters....

Opponents team dps - Reaper and Sym combined for 59 elims across the game, our sym and reaper combine for 9....

Both teams tank and 2 support are roughly the same in terms of damage/heals etc - There's the "luck" - those dps on my team, I win, on the other team, I loose as there is nothing I can do as support to help win that game with dps as bad as that. This is mid Plat rank - not silver/bronze nonsense.....

Also putting character behind the paywall... That's just sad times...I'm not paying for battlepass just to get access to new characters, I have no interest in skins/emotes etc.

I don't know if anyone still even cares at this point, but the remains of what was PvE will be paywalled $15 for 3 missions initially, coming in season 6 (around August time). Nothing's been announced beyond this, but the general expectation seems to be that there'll be similar 2/3 story missions released every season/every other season.

This is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. Absolutely disgusting, scummy behaviour. I'd be happy to pay for the experience they initially proposed, with unique attacks and progression to work towards. These gutted story missions look to be nothing more than souped up Archives missions at this point. I've never played any of those for more than a handful of times, so how is this going to be any different now that all the progression stuff has been scrapped? No one's ever paid for the past seasonal events like Junkenstein, Yeti Hunt, Halloween event and all the rest of it, so why should they pay for these?

I'm losing all will with this game. I'm stopping paying for the Battlepass, and I've barely played since they've announced the PvE shift. I don't know how much longer I'll be playing at this rate.

My memory is terrible, so I might be remembering wrong, but weren't they in OW1, which you paid for?

When Lifeweaver came out, I had a long losing streak, learning the character and dropped from Gold into Bronze. Somehow, I struggled to win more than 50% but I honestly don't believe it was due to me. I was generally the top healer in the entire game (by the numbers) and seemed to keep getting those idiots who wont change/counter or leavers etc. It felt like I couldn't catch a break. A few days ago I teamed with a guy from a game, and we went on a winning streak. All of a sudden I could do no wrong. As Ana, sleeping ulting Mercy's, sleeping Phara's that split second before their ult kicked in etc. The other guy switched to Rein and was openly laughing at how no-one could kill him. It was great fun... but even after literally winning 7 out of 8 games, I only moved to low Silver. Luckily I don't mind what rank as long as I can team with some of my regulars and Silver is enough.

I mean...in a roundabout way, yes technically, but I didn't buy OW1 specifically for those game modes. I bought it for what they offered at the time at launch. Blizzard are the ones who took it upon themselves to provide additional content for free content beyond what was offered at launch.

That aside, speaking of OW2 instead, no one paid for OW2's new recent Halloween event, nor the April Fools event, or Battle for Olympus as a separate charge on top or adjacent to the Battlepass. And now that the PvE/Story Missions have been downgraded to a similar level to some of these past "free" game modes, having the gall to charge for it, especially after doing a bait on switch on the entire PvE concept they first presented to us is not something I want to support.

Yeah, that's fair. I couldn't tell you what any of those events were as I pay zero notice to that element of the game, so I'm not the person to be getting involved in this discussion tbh :p

Absolutely bored to death of this game, time after time im top healer but i keep getting paired with subpar players. The ranking system should work based on your own stats and you should then be paired with similar skilled players.

I've been playing LifeWeaver recently and same sort of thing, I'm usually the top healer in the match, but can still take a loss. Enjoying something different though.
i honestly dont mind losing, but ive literally played with 2 tanks today who have purposely thrown the game and just laughed about it. out of 10 games, i reckon i was top healer in at least 8 and i just cannot get out of silver

Yeah, I'm in Silver with heals I think, Gold as tank and Plat as DPS... which seems odd. I don't mind loosing either and can enjoy the game as long as it's close. I know what you mean, of 10 games there are probably 3 for me that I should really just leave when I realise I have a complete idiot on my team. Maybe 2 or 3 more that are lopsided leaving 4 or 5 games of the 10 that I will enjoy.
