Overwatch

I could use some friendships for the next competitive season. I missed the last one as I took a bit of a break after playing way too much in the first few weeks and getting very salty with the quickplay solo queue.

Skillwise I think I am ok, not going to win any awards. If you can make anything tangible out of the stats, you can check me out here.

My Battlenet is: BuzzLloydyea#2294

I am less active Monday to Wednesday due to work. From Thursday evening on, I am insanely active though.

Was just checking your stats and in quick play it says you have never lost in nearly 400 games is that rite if so your a god at this game.

Edit.

The number of lost games has been removed from Blizzard's data in Quickplay. For now you will only see how many games you've won. We'll let you know when we find out more."

Aha was gonna say... I think most people average out at least a 50/50 split.

I was actually wondering what that was all about, it happened since the patch. So I had an idea about that being the problem. I wasn't aware they got rid of losses in quickplay. For what it's worth I think I sat between 53%-56%. I am guessing it was closer to 53% to be honest, didn't follow it that close, due to it being Blizzards intention to keep people around that area.

played 3 competitive placements so far .

Drawn 1
Won 2

the last win , jesus it was hard ended 3-2 but we literally won it by a whisker , Hanzo just about to clear the point on Nepal and i managed to tracer his face just before.

Seems a lot more able people so far than season 1, even thou i admit its still early

Is anyone else finding the Eichenwald map horrendously unbalanced? I've played a good few games in it, and only once have I seen the Attack team win (I was on the attacking side at the time, so yay?).

My experience is of course anecdotal. Maybe it's just coincidence that the attacking team has always sucked and the defending has team always pwned in the games I've played? It'll be interesting to see if anyone else is experiencing the same. It might just be something to do with it being an unfamiliar map, maybe?

4 placement matches done, 4 wins 0 losses so far.

I'm starting to get seriously paranoid about my karma. Or rather, the game's matchmaking system suddenly deciding to stomp on me.

Won 2 Drawn 1 lost 4 so far. I have done pretty damn well from it for the results though. Put in some stellar performances. The last performance I put in, in the last game (we won yaaay) it was probably my best Overwatch performance of all time. So hopefully I get some more of that.

Started well, 4 in a row. Then lost 2, then won, then last 2 had two leavers.... TWO!!

Slap in the face.

So stuck at gold for for. 2100 i believe. Played mainly lucio. few zarya.

Just finished my placements.

Won: 4 Lost: 5 Drew:1 Ended up at gold 2134.

Got the rough end of the stick in some of these though. A guy went Roadhogg, then went afk in spawn for the entire game. Probably intentionally trying to ruin his rank so he can fight lesser skilled players for some sort of feel good factor.

The last one pitted 3 x 2 man groups vs 1 x 2 man group and we had a very toxic guy who spent more time trying to insult us, than actually playing.

It's all good though. I am finding there is some more teamwork for competitive. Almost makes me wish I tried season 1 now.

6-4, placed 2578(?). Some good games, some bad (win or lose). Some team stacking, some random. All in all, It's all good fun. In general, people take it too seriously. I'm still hating KOTH, which I got about for 70% of the games.

Meh, just play the games. I don't get the anxiety thing, is just worrying about the gold weapon reward?

I thought the chances of a draw would be rare? 4 placement games 1 win 1 loss 2 draws. Got to admit had an epic win on gibralter. We only pushed the cart to just before the 2nd point. Thought it was over but on defence we held out for the win by 0.7m. Contested 5 times throughout the match too. Pretty fun so far.

Well I was right, the game started putting me in unwinnable games. Like my team of 6 randoms vs the enemy team of two groups of 3. Ended up with 5 wins, 4 losses and a draw in the end. That is, out of my final 6 matches, I had 4 losses, 1 win and 1 draw.

Placed at 2292, which I think is almost slap bang in the middle of the gold category. Hooray, I'm average! :D
