Overwatch

arrghhhh - love this game so much, so many hours in it but the hell hole that is 2200 is killing me....

Yesterday played a round and played as Zen, team was ok but dps was poor. I had 22k healing as zen, still lost, got loads of congrats for the 22k healing, even from the other team, but no use when I drop another 30SR!! :p:p

Unfortunately rank based games make me very bitter.

It's not that it's ranked based... I love a good competitive game, but the ranking here is just a crapshoot and it shows in the extreme toxicity that has been bred in the playerbase, making the whole experience of trying to play this game feel a complete chore... Not everybody sees it (yet) but it's not surprising given Blizzard are masters when it comes to keeping people invested and not realising their enjoyment of the game left long ago...

My McCree aiming skills are getting pretty ridiculous. I'm going to give him a go in a few comp games soon.

Made to eat my words this morning after my son (age 10) selected Torb for a Quick Play, defending on Numbani. He placed his turret, stacked up on armour, then went on the offensive while constantly using his own armour to tank damage and keep going... ended with 40 eliminations! I don't think I've ever got 40 eliminations in one match, with any character.

It's interesting that they decided to destroy Roadhog because "being 1-shot isn't fun" then introduce Doomfist who can 1-shot a large number of characters and also leave scatter arrow unchanged. it doesn't even punish bad positioning at times, it just kills you randomly. Seeing doomfist punch a tracer or genji into a wall and watch them crumple and die in a heap is so satisfying though. I think he will shake things up a bit but most of the really good players (if you look at t500 played) will still just carry on tracer/genji still though sadly.

Yes at times he's really good, myslef i did not manage to grasp his mechanics yet.

I played some of him on the ptr and read the guides on http://www.metabomb.net/overwatch/.

The main thing I like about him is how fast he can get round the map you just charge, uppercut, dive in that order and he can get round the map faster than anyone plus his uppercut gets him so high he can reach anywhere.

Also being able to kill every character apart from tanks in one punch without even aiming is great fun for me on my pad.

I can see him getting nerfed he seems so good.

He looks a bit overpowered, i played some games where gold players destroyed almost all team with Doomfist, their ultimate was up every couple of minutes. But most of QP players still suck at it, so it depends on who do you play with.

I'm finding with Doomfirst that I either have an awesome game or a terrible game, but rarely an average, middle of the road game in terms of eliminations.

I think my 300 hours on symmetra helps with doomfist positioning I normally find staying in a room and waiting for them to walk in works great. I just charge up and then cancel if no one steps round. Having hanzo or widow on the team is a great help being able to see through the walls.

Anyone know when Doomfist is joining comp?

Edit: I just read unconfirmed that doom is joining 7pm today.

"I never realised how much I hated this game until I stopped playing it for a while" - Buddy of mine yesterday, I get where he's coming from... a real shame as it had so much potential :(

This game is completely unplayable for me since around the Doomfist PTR announcement. Every match I enter, I start on about 500+ ping which slowly goes down, but usually hovers around 100+ (I was on about 30-40 before), and I get constant rubber banding and lag spikes. I'm on a powerline ethernet and have the region on Europe. It's so frustrating.
