Start with Soldier 76. Remember to fire in bursts and wait for the reticle to close to get accurate shots.
 
The game is a lot better with another healer normally I end up having to play mercy because no ones want healer.

Now I'm free to pick any character I want and still have a decent team.

I still really don't like playing moira but glad she's in the game now.
 
I love her - went on a 10 game win streak last night, gained back about 200SR that i lose earlier in the week. I'm going to get to 2500 before the end of the season....that's my challenge
 
Your team should always have 2 healers.. team is at a massive disadvantage otherwise. 2-2-2 is usually the way to play but 3 tank meta is slowly making a reappearance this season.

Only time solo healer is decent is with a sym/sombra + ana/mercy for 2cp maps but a Lucio + sombra is also decent for koth maps.
 
I played Moira for my 10 seed games, lost 9 out of 10 of them, but played really well, at least 3 gold per match and 4x POTG's despite losing 9 of the games I got to mid plat 2800, last season I was only a gold,.

Quite enjoy Moira, I feel like I'm doing a lot more good for my team healing and supporting, rather than just running around worrying only about elims,
 
Wow almost a month with no posts in here - pretty much reflects my impressions; anyone serious about gaming has moved on to proper games...

I dipped back into competitive after stopping and uninstalling for a while to see if much has changed... nope, it's still a random crap-shoot where almost every game is a one-sided stomp or ruined by a griefer/leaver...
 
I've rather stopped playing now I've found PUBG. I think the game is great, but quite often the people playing are not. If the OCUK Discord Overwatch channel was as easy to find a team as the PUBG channel, I'd perhaps play more. I think that's key, a few months back there was a group that I often got invited to join and it was great fun. I think they then had a falling out and the best I could usually do was a team of two.
 
I'm still around playing mainly on US servers - Smashed 30 hours into Moira this season and seem to play her well as I get lots of compliments on being a very good Moira etc (maybe there is just loads of bad ones out there!):D:D

Still stuck in and around 2400 - just can't string together enough wins to get out of gold.

They really need to sort this out. The 10 games once per season is the only time you can get a good ranking by actually losing due to still playing well. Every other game for the entire season, you're punished for losing even if you play amazingly well carrying your team. Why the difference?

For instance, someone who plays 10 games and gets ranked 3000 isn't currently likely of the same skill level as someone who plays 10 games and gets ranked 2750 but then levels to 3000 within hours worth of games. Why? Because the player who's levelled can carry a team to a win where as the player who got the rank through 10 games whilst good, couldn't necessarily carry enough for a team win to achieve the rank. It's why you see so many people with a sr that tanks and they stop or only play a few hours.

10 games a season to start is just silly - doesn't matter what you do - win 10 or loose 10, your pretty much guranteed around the same SR as you finished last season give or take 50/100SR.

Thought i would try my placements after quitting due to getting overly stressed out when i barely get time to game at all nowadays. I am maining mercy/ana or Zarya if theyre picked.

Had 4 matches:

  • 1st one went okay on the first round. Kept everyone up. Then someone on the team took Mercy before i could re-pick her and was useless and refused to change. This caused us to loose. Why would anyone do this?
  • 2nd match, Mercy was already picked so went Moira as there was no tank for Ana. We won.
  • 3rd match, Mercy was already picked again, but this time a 'battle mercy' not 1 heal. - We lost.
  • 4th and last match. I went Mercy, not one tank. Team blamed me for not healing them enough for the loss.

I really do dislike the community sometimes [most of the time] in OW. Back to Planet Coaster i go :p
 
@JoeF1 - try US servers - much more friendly and better.

10 placement done - won 6 lost 4, placed 2300. 12 SR difference than I finished last season. Ergo - pointless playing 10 matches and getting same rank
