Overwatch

I spend most of my time in QP or Arcade, so you are welcome to join if you don't want to take it seriously... not that comp SR has great meaning in life to get stressed about :)

Oh I still meant comp, I'm just way past the point where I focus on what my SR is all of the time.

...possibly when I stopped being able to climb. :D

Still enjoying LFG - climbed to 2550 already with good comms/teams today. No leavers.

I tend to set up a group myself with 2 tanks/2 support/1 dps and 1 flex. Also make sure before I start there is at least 5 if not all 6 in chat and speaking - if not - I kick them! lol

Seems to work fine so far. Zero leavers this season for me.

I joined a group yesterday like this. It said in the title 'must use voice' or something like that and anyone that joined, the guy was checking they could talk. Was actually a good team, the guy was very organised and was calling all sorts of strategies.

Working late tonight and tomorrow, but then the next 10+ evenings free for some games :)

only problem with the new LFG is when you have a DPS thats truly awful no one can switch into the DPS role to save the day.

Hadn't thought about this. It's a good point. I have been in games before where I just wasn't effective and I swapped out to support with someone.

Mind you, yesterday I played a few other DPS as Soldier wasn't working and played a blinder with Junk, who I've never really comped with before!

Soldier seems abit under powered now, His damage gets blocked and healed through too easy

Finished last night think I lost 6 drew 1 and won 3, 5 of the losses has leavers.
The Draw was my favourite game super balanced game with some great plays

I'm finding with Soldier that I'm having more games with very high or very low elims... he either works or really doesn't in some matches (not as bad as DF though). Of course, a lot depends on the opposition and teammates, in terms of ability and hero picks. A good Genji on the other team can really make a game difficult for me.

Not a great start to the season for me, 6 losses in a row. The LFG hasn't been good to me so far. Trollers in two of the games one of which was just constantly blowing into his mic. The other had a group of 12 year olds shouting Thier mouths off.

I'm getting too old and grumpy to play with children :)

Gonna start my own team I think and just kick any one that don't gel.

Yeah, I don't see her being used much now. Only 3 turrets and a pretty useless teleporter. I don't know how they thought it was a good idea. If the TP was too powerful, just cut it to 4 uses or something.

Wednesday night I think I lost all 5 comp games I played, by contrast me and Famas formed up a great team last night and I think won all games (4 of them?) but everyone was hard fought, close games with a team that was adjusting, communicating and generally playing well together. Really enjoyable.

Another 8 losses in a row last night, followed by 1 win which looked like it was going to be a loss but then the other team had 2 leavers... really satisfying winning like that... I think I'm sitting at about a 20% win-rate this season so far (and it's not as if I'm boosted, having generally maintained around 2500 - 2700 since the game launched and currently on my way to 2200 sort of territory)

I'm starting to feel as though the game is setup to give players who haven't purchased multiple copies of the game a terrible time in an effort to tempt them into buying a second account

I wonder if somehow the ratings have moved? Over 10 seasons I've generally been around 2100-2200, but this season I'm down at 1800?

The new teleporter has very few niche uses. Nice to have, but useless in most circumstances. And her new ult, I just can't figure out how to make it useful. It doesn't block anything off, enemies can just walk through it. At best, it's a temporary nuisance for enemy snipers. Compared to her previous ult, bringing your entire team back quickly after a wipe, it's pretty pathetic.

And just to rub salt in the wound, they removed the auto aim from her primary fire, which was pretty much the only thing that made it good. Now it's a weaker shorter range version of Zarya's primary fire.

I'd like the see Symmetra's right click removed completely (the orbs are just not fun to use) and put way more damage + slightly more range onto her left click. Make it a high skill hero that requires a tonne of tracking aim with high damage and she would be one of the most fun heroes in the game.
