Overwatch

I got this game last week after the free weekend. Hooooo booy I've been missing out!

This has to be the most fun I've had in years (sadly) lol.

Yeah I got it a year after release and my only regret was not getting it sooner.

So refreshing to have a multiplayer shooter on real servers with a propper ranked mode and plenty of players.

Best £20 I ever spent.

Hey phixsator you get a lot of that on weekends and friday nights.

Have you tried the new looking for players mode so you get a team together before you go into comp? Sounds like it would help you.

Guess i'll have to stick to playing from monday to thursdays then. Had a quick look at the LFG, love the idea, havent had the best of luck with it. Hosts has been very focused on win/loss ratios for some reason and well, due to my luck my ratio is horrid as of late.

That's odd, I don't think I've ever had that myself. LFG is definitely the way to go.

After a few days of lots of wins, I didn't have such a good night last night. From one of the quickest losses I can remember though, my next game was one of the best I can remember having in some time.

^^ watched first 30 seconds of that - didn't need to watch anymore......lol

They were awful - so clumped up, never even saw you running onto the point....

Think I bought at launch - Agreed - £25 or so spent and many many hours (too many) playing it.

Still can't quiet break into diamond - 2800/2900 win one, loose 2. Win 2, lose 1 etc -

That's what made me laugh. Love it when teams do that. I simply ran through the point and round to the 200 med pack, knowing that would likely split them up. I think it did as we got two picks almost straight away.

49 elims, including a 22 streak but I think perhaps my favourite thing was shooting their Junkrat ult I think three times. :D

It's odd I then go to the next game I can't kill anything... I think Soldier is rather dependant on a little damage help from the rest of the team. Personally I'm not always good enough to get the kill before I have to reload and a healer might save my enemy.

Been playing this again over the last couple of weeks. Loving it. Playing mostly as Rein and really enjoying it, which I'm surprised about. 4 levels off playing ranked, I'm sure I'll get shouted at a lot haha.

Nice match! They weren't the best, and you got a lot of time on high ground without being challenged. TBH, I'm surprised you didn't hold the first point in defence.

Last time we played on that map together you also did the same move of sprinting to the point and round the back... I also learnt that it was a mistake to backup/follow you when playing Mercy!!!

Question... at range (like when on top of building) do you tend to hold down LMB, or do short bursts to control bloom? Does it depend on whether targeting tanks or smaller targets?

Just set your profile to private or friends only.

What characters do you play? Maybe I could play some with ya help you break into diamond. I currently about 3050 so not too much different would be good time for me to team up.

I just had a look at ya profile guess we could do like a brig moira or a mercy zen or tripple support. Just message me when ya fancy some games.

Ha ha, sometimes I remember to let everyone know as we're waiting for the doors to open. 'I'm going to try and flank, if I get caught, leave me. Mercy don't try and follow!' :) Often I do die quite quick, but I try and get one pick and hopefully open the front for the rest of the team to come in.

Flanking is my style of play generally. I feel if I can get the other side of Rein he's kind of screwed. It does sometimes annoy my healers though as they can't get to me or die trying.

That's exactly it. If I'm trying to pick a single, small target, more likely I'll burst (not always though I guess, perhaps depends how mobile they are). If there's a big group, I'll do as much damage as quick as possible and then send a helix in.

Why oh why unlock Hammond in Competitive play mid season!

Good on them I say it keeps things fresh.

People have had plenty of time to practice him.

This season has been the exact same as last season and if like me you been playing it a lot then the change is welcome. The whole rein zarya hanzo meta is getting bit same every game. It will be nice to go on tonight and see something different.

I got a couple of clips from today.

First one is a mercy potg in overtime a few metres from defeat with score 4-4 both teams took it all the way and then first point. A very close match.

This one is a pretty funny boop on doom. These guys didnt even make it over first bridge we just held it with double shield and boops. Best hold I ever done on this map in comp.

Hey guys just so you know Summer games has started lucio ball is back.

Also lots of changes to the healers today. Lucio ana moira all buffed. Brig and mercy nerfed.

Went 69 elims and 2 deaths earlier in a game on Kings Row with Moira......:p:p
Wow 69 is a lot of kills.

I have been playing few games tonight and meta feels a lot different. it's a lot more chaotic now. Dive comp with wrecking ball monkey is really strong.

New mercy healing is very slow on tanks. She is still good but not a must have character every game now.

The range on lucio healing is a pretty big buff makes him a lot more fun to play. The extra shield on his ult is also nice bonus. I think I will be playing a lot more lucio now.

Brig nerf didn't make much difference.
