Apparently in ranked KOTH is bugged.

The more placement games you played in KOTH the more your rank has been skewed down. Wins on KOTH are rewarded hardly any of the ranking that they should be, winning after placement rewards hardly any rank, but losing makes it plummet.

I would avoid ranked until they fix, big thread on Reddit about it. Shame 6 or 7 of my placement games were KOTH, still managed to rank at 53 so it's not too bad.

Just to note it's only KOTH that's broken, however when one of three game modes is broken it's unacceptable.

Got 40, never have I been paired with absolute incompetence before. Totally ruining the experience to be fair. Total step down so far, unsure if this mmr is expecting individuals to carry a full team all the time it's not on.
 
Finished 3-7 and a rank of 44 (I think, or 46?) which I was kind of expecting. It's not a game I'm great at, but will do what I can to help a team win. Just don't ask me to play Hanzo :p Others seem to headshot with ease across a map. I don't seem to hit anything :(
 
Tried a couple of ranked games last night, during the first one guy just got constant abuse from about half way through for being crap. Shame, I'd come across very little of that in this game so far, and certainly hadn't missed it, hope it doesn't prove too common in ranked.

Hanzo's ult really needs to lose power and AoE either the further it travels or the more walls it passes through. If he catches you all at near point blank range pushing the cart then it was a well placed ult. If he fires it half a map away it shouldn't do a damn thing.

Wait... he couldn't take losing so refused to heal and remove any chance of a comeback?

I think it was to force somebody else to play healer....would've made more sense for him to switch characters of course.
 
I was quite frustrated yesterday, and I suspect this is the theory of a bug in the king of the hill matches. Won one of those, quite a close game, but gained very little rank.

Lost a push match, again close match but I had some medals and even POM , but I lost about 3/4's of a rank which caused me to drop one. Another match, but we got steamrolled, and I lost about 1/3 rank this time.

I shouldn't take it seriously I guess, I'll never be a top player but just weird.
