Overwatch

Does anybody get random CPU spikes playing this? I'm running a 6600k at 4.2ghz and I can't see how it's maxing it at completely random moments. It causes a nasty lag stutter as well when it does it :(

I do have very occasional spikes\stutters in gameplay on my new build on ultra.
However the box is in work with a single monitor so havent been keeping an eye on cpu/memory/gpu trends. I will play a little tonight and see if it is CPU spiking

On a 5820K at 4.6ghz in my case

It's really random, it's playing fine and then not even in a built up area it will just go to 100% and then settle back to 70% ish. It was happening on my 2500k that's kind of why I upgraded :(

Ok so just did both legs on kings row, set at ultra (check my build log in sig for full specs) but my cpu never went so much as above 50% and that was as a spike. on average about 25-30%. If anything i DIDNT get spike this time and im wondering if its a level design thing as the spikes i did get where on Route 66. I'll try and do one of them and report back.

if you have a 2nd screen id maybe sit with taskmgr open set to order by CPU usage and see if it is overwatch thats eating it or something else

Sudden Death needs a serious rework. Attackers must have a 90%+ Win Rate in SD and Overtime just breaks it when attacking a point round the corner from the attackers spawn and miles away for the defenders.

Only had 2 sudden death rounds, both times got stuck on defence but somehow held them off.

I wonder why this game is eating so much CPU for me then ? I thought a 6600k would have been plenty :(. I'll have a look later to see if it's definitely overwatch eating it. Cheers for getting back to me :)

5930K here at 3.7ghz cpu never goes over 30% total or

max core % used 50%

the only thing different maybe for me is i turn off dynamic reflections, theirs a 33% loss of fps if this is on. Maybe thats where the cpu is being used

dynamic reflection affect reflection on mirrors/glass/water/armour

something you will hardly notice in battle :)

Starting to go off the game now. On a QP last night there were two players talking about some new cheat program doing the rounds and did some crazy kills against the opposing team to demonstrate this. As Junkrat, one of the players dropped 5 mines in succession around the enemy spawn point before detonating it as a few players came out.

Another pretty much had Blackwidow's infrared on for the entire team permanently. When players began complaining they simply said that they can use the 'prefer player' option to stop folks avoiding them.

I was hoping cheat programs wouldn't appeared as early as they have.

I'm not 13, but I'm getting a lot of groin chaffing when I'm playing Reaper
it's because of the lack of team play with reaper, they just run off and press left mouse button a bit. That and its a very cheap character, the ghost mode is very annoying, I feel like they shouldn't be able to pick up health and be healed while in that mode. very annoying fighting one and kicking their ass just to have them run away and heal and then try to get pointblank to you without you being able to do anything other than run way. not to mention the insane damage he can do against larger heros at range
