Overwatch

Some night last night.

First game was very close to flawless for our team which put me 4 points off of Platinum so thought i might be on a roll.

Of course the next game no one was willing to go healer and i was the only tank. We lost bad...

Next game has to go better doesnt it....nope.

So now the next tier is getting further away.

Going to have to start adding people in games where things go well.
 
I would have agreed with you as I hate when people pick Hanzo, but Me and Toffnar came up against a good one yesterday

Again it was on Lijiang tower and he was combining his ult with Mei's freeze bomb and generally being a nuisance.
 
I was 1 win away from diamond yesterday. Then a 5 man premade forced me onto Mercy so we lost.

Back down to 2930, hopefully will get diamond tonight.

He's just generally my most hated character. I absolutely admire those who play well on the offensive, but so many players just sit behind there team and fire randomly, seemingly getting headshots from no where. And that scatter shot horse ****! RNG to the max.
 
Last night was crazy... 6 of us online and grouped which can often be a recipe for disaster, especially when 4 of us are actual friends and in teamspeak together and the other 2 are just randoms we added during season 1...

We played 4 games... first one was an absolutely incredible game that was right down to the wire and ended in a draw... second we did amazing and totally crushed the other team... third we got completely destroyed by a very good team... and then on the 4th we had an amazing first attacking round and seemed set for another one-sided match in our favour, but the enemy team came back very hard and it ended up being another draw!!

The two draw games were incredible though... preferred them to the one-sided games
 
Well nearly got there yesterday guys, had a season high of 2487 with my pretty much guaranteed promotion game sabotaged by a good old Hanzo picker (RIP)

Called it a night at 2456 but would like to think I should get into Plat tonight unless I hit a real bad streak.

There is a few in the higher levels, Arx (who i mentioned previously) around 3500 rank with Hanzo only.

They key thing is that, with the Hanzo buff he is now very strong, so he is picked. Though unfortunately very few people put the hours in previously, so the learning time required is huge.
 
Been having a frustrating time working towards platinum. I started as 2132 and made it up to 2198. Then it just dropped like a lead balloon to 1891. The from this Thursday on, I hit it hard solo and got up to 2305 yesterday, the the bad runs started again and dropped to near the 2000's again. Fortunately a mate joined up with me for a few games just now and managed to win all 4 of them. So I am currently sitting on 2254, but I am not sure if I can handle the matchmaker throwing me into another cluster of really bad matches again.

I may make it to platinum, but the run there is not even enjoyable. It's too RNG based on if you have players who will try to achieve it, or the other 90% who seem to be lingering around the gold level.
 
Completed my first placement matches last night, put me in at 2433, not sure how good that is in the grand scheme of things.

Is there a discord or anything for competitive? Would rather play with peeps instead of ransoms.
 
Got this game yesterday, pretty fun.
However today I have ran into the "Your rendering device has been lost" issue reported on the forums, I cant play for more than 5min before it crashes. Tried loads of fixes nothing working. Anyone had any luck?

Was thinking about buying this today but that's worrying. Plus I cant find it cheaper than £30.

Somebody said that despite not being a particularly demanding game, it was really susceptible to showing up unstable overclocks.

Are you overclocking?

I sorted the crashing few hours ago, seems it was the overclock. I even turned it off and it was still crashing. downclocked and the crashing went away....odd

Been mostly playing Bastion, Hanzo, Zenyatta, Mercy and Soilder 76. Really liking it.
 
I am also getting crashing, completely freezes and sound "stutters", and i have to hard reset. I have a CPU overclock, could that be the culprit?
 
Ended up buying and just hit level 7, Do more game options open up as you level ? Season's etc ? I only have quick play, AI battle and some castle game on the far right ??
