Also in the papers today, Owen has the second highest goals per minute ratio this season behind Defoe, ahead of all the others mentioned.

That's not a particularly useful stat for owen. When you come on as a sub striker for man u they'll probably be pushing for goals. Also bent for example, playing for sunderland, is rather unlikely to have as good a ratio as any striker playing for man u.

Hes got to be in the squad. Hes a proven goalscorer with experience at playing at this level. He can change games when he comes on, but also lead a team.

10 mins to go and England 1-0 down....you need someone like Owen...whos gona run behind defences, press defenders, guide the younger players!
