''Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) general secretary Mick Lynch said there is "growing speculation that the company are today planning to sack hundreds of UK seafarers and replace them with foreign labour".

He added: "We have instructed our members to remain onboard and are demanding our members across P&O's UK operations are protected, and that the Secretary of State intervenes to save UK seafarers from the dole queue."
 
Hmmm, so it's not being liquidated but must be pretty major if they're pulling all the ships.

Something like a JD Sports declare bankruptcy and restructure maybe... Who knows, I know nothing about corporate finance :p

Guess we'll see whether the RMT are right or if the rumour is just made up.
 
All the rich and wealthy people are going to live on them in the middle of the ocean whilst the rest of the world burns in a nuclear holocaust.
 
I bought a load of shares when they floated a few years back. I hope they're not going under.
 
Daily fail but wonder if this has anything to do with it:

It came as DUP MP Jim Shannon claimed in the Commons that nearly half of P&O Ferries is owned by a Russian business. 'I understand that 40% of the holdings of P&O Ferries is held by a Russian company,' he said.
