If true Mercedes really are assembling an all-star team of big engineers. You wonder though, too many cooks spoiling the broth?

I'd kind of expect someone to go though, should Paddy be snaffled from Mclaren

I had the impression Lowe hadnt been at McLaren that long - but maybe this is completely wrong (if this is correct , why is he "looking" so quickly again?)

Also there was speculation that Williams wanted him - so maybe McLaren just isnt working out ?

How about Brawn now joining McLaren (ok he wouldnt be in the same position he has been for a few years, ie more directly answerable) - but maybe he wants to go back to being more of an engineer and less management?

There was speculation of Paddy Lowe joining Williams but Toto Wolff brought him along to Mercedes.

At least that's what I've gleamed from most recent F1 journo gossip.

BBC added that Brawn and Fry could be pushed out of the team. that'd be a surprise.

Wow what a mess. Haug has already left Mercedes so maybe Brawn will be too. Maybe Brawn would be happier going back to being a Technical Director role and perhaps McLaren would suit him.

I want to see Vettel get beaten on merit and I can't see anyone except for Alonso doing this. So, it would be interesting to see what would happen if Brawn moved to Ferrari.

Unfortunately for Button, I think he is past his peak. His best year was 2011 and in 2013 to win the title, he will need a car at least 0.3s-0.5s/lap faster than Vettel's.

Vettel is an unbelievable talent. Some may even argue that he is the most talented driver ever seen in modern F1 (on results, he is ahead of MSc - the most successful driver of all time). Do not underestimate Vettel or the RBR team.

Vettel's Car designer/s are an unbelievable talent. Button isn't past his peak at all either, in the three years head to head vs Lewis Hamilton he beat him.

Pure and simply beat him.

Now he'll be working closely with the engineers around him and his team to have the car built to his liking/understanding and on his terms; something which wasn't afforded to him in the previous three years.

Given that the rules aren't changing drastically next year I think Jenson will win the WDC, Vettel's luck will run out and he'll cruise in second, with Lewis 5th/6th in the standings come the end of the season.

The Aero God that is probably worth 1/2s+ on his own

Obviously you couldnt just get in any F1 car (let alone one of the best on the grid) , but its quite possible majority of the grd could get in an RBR and get respectably close to SV if not past him - I think Mark has done brilliantly in a team wholly focused on their "No1 driver".
