The pakistan As are underway with their test.

Theres afew changes but heres the Pakistan Squad to face India:

Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Salman Butt, Imran Farhat, Mohammad Yousuf, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Asif, Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan.


Should be a good series :) does anyone know if sky sports will be showing the games? I know theres an asian channel (ARY digital) that will be showing them, iv not subscribed to it... yet.

Ahhh in that case ill be definitely sorted as for coverage of it, as my mum subscribes to ARY :D. But whether or not i get a chance to watch any of it is another question lol.
 
I was ringing ARY for hours last night to try and get through, managed to in the end at around midnight and iv been up since 4.30 this morning watching it :)

Pakistan won the toss and batted first, and India have struggled ever since then. They have come into the game with only 4 proper bowlers, one of which (Agarkar) is average at best. The 2 spinners havent done much at all today, I think they were relying too heavily on them, and the team as a whole has really struggled. I always knew the bowling wasnt one of their strong points, but it really has looked very weak, they have only taken one wicket, the other wicket (Salman Butt) well he pretty much ran himself out. Brilliant fielding though by Yuvraj to hit the stumps.

Anyway brilliant start for Pakistan, they finish the day on 326-2, cant see them losing from this position now.

Younis Khan on 147 not out
Mohammad Yousuf on 95 not out

It is a batting pitch so the bowlers were always gonna have a hard time, but they have barely had any chances at all out there. It will interesting to see how pakistans bowling compares, especially since india's batting is their strongest point so that will be a good contest.

Hopefully Pakistan go on to make a nice 600 then declare towards the end of tomorrow :)
 
Actually, would be great if Pakistan give the Indians a good pasting. That way they won't be too confident when we come to play them. Indian's batsmen could also have a field day though, so too early to make many predictions. Quite quick batting from Pakistan considering it's the sub-continent though...
 
Like I said, the main contest will be between pakistans bowlers and india's batsmen. Whether pakistan can get the 20 wickets they need to win this game, against one of the best batting line ups out there, on this pitch... well who knows, we will have to wait and see.

England should have no problems against india's pace attack, because they dont have any to be honest. Its only the spin that might cause them problems, if they can handle Kumble and Singh, they should be fine.
 
Not a good day for India and their crap bowling being exposed yet again. Pathan needs to remember he is a BOWLER not a friggin batsman and his speed and accuracy was a joke, Old hogs like Pollock and McGrath bowl faster than 75mph ffs.

No chance of winning just gotta hope for a draw

What a joke of a company they are, I signed up with them once before so gotta talk to a customer agent and they are never free, they don't put you on hold they cut you off so you gotta call again. Probably some dodgy bloke down southall running this company :rolleyes:
 
Haha, i watched it for free this morn, ary were showing it to non subscribers as well for some reason, but knowin my luck i'll wake up tomorrow an it wont be free. Its a skank paying £40 for 2 months of cricket, esp when they used to be £10 a month
 
the usually have a fre hour from 8-9, we switched on 8.30 an watched the match all the way till the end of play, then after a few ads it stopped showin owt
 
Pakistan declare on 679. Akmal and Afridi making centuries off 80 balls, Younis out on 199 and Yousuf on 173. Now that is just taking the ****. Will teach those muppets running the show behind the Indian team just what a bunch of idiots they are.

Gotta see a pretty special innings from Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar or this might get very embarrassing.

They were showing on an Indian channel last night Ganguly arguing with Dravid over something and many think it is over him not wanting to face the new ball. Just seen that Dravid is now opening for India, the world's best No.3 and captain should NOT bow to Ganguly's wishes. Why that idiots is in the team I'll never know, whenever he gets dropped the muppets in his home town start riots and moan like babies. Should show him the door and never welcome him back, he has ruined the legacy he had and is just holding the team back and digging his own grave. The Indian board don't have the balls to drop him either.

Id happily pay another £40 on top off that, if todays cricket is anything to go by :D :D Centuries all round the team, and Afridi absolutely smashing Singh for 4 consecutive 6's and going for a 5th one lol, he got 27 of that over. It has been very good batting all round the team, but you have to say its also down to India's poor bowling, they were getting nothing at all from the pitch, really was quite embarressing for them at times.
 
It's a real batting wicket by the sounds of it but still a great effort from Pakistan especially since Imzy was out so cheaply. Have a feeling that this will likely be a draw though if India can achieve the follow-on target. Could be a tall order though.
