PANASONIC VIERA TX-58AX802B Smart 3D 4K Ultra HD 58" LED TV

well tried this calibration out and pretty awesome results.
i can live pretty much with the slight color shift on the left and right sides of the screen but i cant seem to stop looking at the V shaped cloud/bleed in the lower center of the screen in dark scenes.

i think im going to have to take this screen back at the weekend. and get it swapped out for something smaller with higher build quality say 50 inch instead of 58 and possibly go for the samsung or lg curved or pay a little extra for there OLED.

anyone know if the Panasonic ty-ew3d3m 3d glasses are compatible ? hopefully they are as there's 5 of us that's usually watch films so I can use my old glasses

also bit confused here if I want to upscale my blu rays what bit of hardware upscales it the player or the tv ? just wondering as if the tv does all the work it saves me buying a good player but if not...

thanks yes your right damn

the Panasonic 3d glasses are too shiny for me I noticed when I had my projector because the light was coming from above rear I never had any issues
but the Panasonic ones the light hits the lens frame at the front and as light and dark areas move on the display you see it shimmering around the frame
and once you see it you cannot help looking at it.

I went to curry's got some of Samsungs 3d Bluetooth glasses for £12 each and there allot better.

love the quality of 4k though I have put some photo's on and some 4k film footage off my Panasonic gh4 4k camera looks amazing :)

Hi there - I have just purchased the TX50AX802B but need to check if it's compatible with Amazon Prime. I keep getting conflicting information from Panasonic and the retail stores. Grateful for any definitive answer on this! Thanks in advance :)

It looks like it does both Prime and instant video, I've just tested mine instore and although it says Amazon Instant on the icon, you can switch to Prime instant withing the app and select Prime videos to watch.

Got rid of mine, uniformity in these displays where a big no no to me.
and picked up a sammy 55" curved and i have to say the quality was better.
though thats my opinion and i tried to like this tv a lot and got it exchanged about 4 times and all 4 times had issues be it the quality of the product right down to the uniformity as well as blobs on the screen and clouding issues.

bought 1 55" samsung curved 4k and no issues off the bat.. either i was lucky or panasonic hates me lol

Gotta say I'm not fussy. It's brighter on the sides on all Panasonic 2014 4k tvs but for £850 I wasn't going to and still can't get a better 50" 4k tv for pc gaming. Looking forward to Sky 4k.
