Paranormal Activity 2

Utter rubbish, me and the missus just came back from watching it. Pants *10000. After 20 minutes of watching webcams with normal everyday life on it, your like whens it gonna start after about 1 hour your like ok i hope its like a 2 hour film because its really slow.

Then it finishes after 90 minutes and your like "thats the biggest load of crap ever".

When it's scary (about two-three times in the whole 90 minutes) its quite scary but it's not worth the entrance fee.

And to be totally honest neither me or the missus have seen a worse film.

The director needs to go back to cinema school, muppet.

I'd disagree... Saw it last night and thought it was brilliant. It did take a while to get going like said above, but it built tension really well like the first and I thought it was brilliant! The whole break in idea worked well.

Id rate it along the same lines as the first one, awesome film.

Thought the first one was pretty scary, actually one of the most of last year. If you dont like the style of filming its going to bore. Loads of people I know hated it.

my girlfriend made the first 1 scarier for me than it should have been....

got the claw marks on my arms to prove it lol

OK, watched PA2 last night - preview showings at our Cineworld.

Like the first there is a rather slow build-up.
It takes quite a while for us to see anything really happening.
Quite early on we see that the couple in this film, the woman is the sister of the girl from the first movie.

It also quite quickly becomes apparent when PA2 is set.
Basically it runs from before PA1, during PA1 and then after PA1 - that will make sense if you go and watch it.

There were at least two "jump" moments.
The film managed to keep the whole cinema quiet, however the first "jump" moment did indeed create a collective "oh" from the crowd - this was quite a full cinema.
The second one slightly less - but people weren't expecting it.

More of the whole story between PA1 & PA2 is revealed.

All in all watching PA2 won't "ruin your weekend" but it isn't the best film in the world.
If you were one of the people who "jumped like the people in the PA1 trailers" then you'll do the same again.
If you didn't then you'll see PA2 as much of the same again - although all in all it felt a better film.

I liked the first one and saw the second one last night. I thought it was a bit slow but liked how they explained the story a bit better.

It was made to be jumpy and it did the job well, had a few people scream in the cinema!

The sound is what makes it jumpy and the kitchen scene got the biggest reaction from the crowd. The baby in the cot doing dance moves had the cinema in stiches though!

1st one scared the poo out of me, not whilst watching it, but later that evening, for the next 2 weeks :o

About 3 months ago I stayed over at a mate's house. The loft hatch was in the room I was sleeping in. The hatch cover was missing... I **** myself all night :D

Went to see this last night. I thought the first film was pretty good... story was ok but the night bits were pretty freaky. I really liked how it tied into the first, good to get a bit of background info about how the demon came into their lives.

I thought the experience was ruined by the audience though, especially a group of people who thought it would be funny to talk through the entire film. I would have preferred to watch it on my own, really scared myself senseless.

All in all, a good watch and I'd go and see it if you liked the first film. Wonder if there'll be a third...

I pretty much agree with everything you've said, I thought they tied it into the 1st really well.

The audience semi ruined it for me, people felt the need to laugh a lot when suspense was high completely spoiling the atmosphere. Kids eh?

Fiancé also really enjoyed it

Watched this earlier, thought it was good, better than the first and had a good storyline. I saw the first one at home and it's definitely one to see at the cinema, makes a lot of difference. Cinema was pretty empty but the woman behind kept screaming which made us jump. Also I swear the couple at the very back were 'playing' with each other, there was some weird fapping noise through most of the film that grossed us out, was close to standing up and asking WTF they were doing.

Will catch this when its out on *ahem* DVD.
Agreed, first one wasn't worth it... Not at all scary and beginning dragged on

Hahah. You should've done it. Glad ive never been in the cinema with screaming or crying or fapping people :p

I think it's better to watch these at home providing you have surround sound, you get a better sense of isolation which the cinema ruins as people are around you.

Oh I see what you've done there.
Ah man - you rock.
The "Will catch this when it's out on...."
At this point I thought you were going to say DVD, I really did.
I thought it was going to be one of those boring posts.
But then, you did this stroke of genius thing.
You said "*ahem* DVD"

I stopped, and thought about it.
What could you mean?
A cough before DVD.
Then it hit me and I could see what you did and I thought WOW.
You're not going to catch it on DVD at all.
Instead you, and I can fully understand why, don't feel you should have to pay to see films and the like, so instead you're just going to steal it!
You deserve to steal things - because you're just, so damn cool and self-important!

WOW.
Once I got what you meant I could see just how cool you are.
No spending of cash on films people have spent a lot of money and more importantly a lot of time making.
No way!
Stealing is the way to go!!

Nice post, very clever!
*Ahem* - Genius!!

Sarcastic attempt at humour with angst is sarcastic and angsty!

Was ok but as said watch at home when its out as cinema its full of "im 15 and need to comment abut the film and make up silly things about it" audience totally ruined it for me.
