I've been sat downstairs in the kitchen for the last hour watching TV as I had a delivery coming, I didn't hear any knock and the doorbell wasn't rung, I went back out into the hallway and saw the "We've been and you were out" card in the letterbox.

He didn't even bother trying to deliver the item, I know this happened while I was downstairs as the card wasn't there when I went down, I didn't have the TV on loud or anything either, didn't hear a knock or the doorbell, what a ******.

Anybody else had this with any delivery services?

Going to ring up and complain later, I have to wait until 16:00 then I have to go and collect it.

That's ridiculous, I hope the driver gets some kind of punishment, I'll try and speak to somebody when I go to collect it, though he'll just argue back (if they even contact him) that he did knock. :o

Its much harder for them to do this trick where I live, (rural ish) If they drive the mile of the main road its in their interests to wait.

However it usually gets marked on the log as "driver out of time" so just as bad.

I've had parcels, they don't even ticket my house....

I've checked it online/rang to see whats going on and they are like you weren't in..

Clearly was in and no ticket....

Had a go down the phone, as this was a parcel i needed for a holiday i was going on, on monday, this was friday... and they were like either get it night or monday... So i had to drive over a hour just because the drive CBA.

I really really wished OCUK would give a UPS option... They are cheaper and a lot more reliable.

Parcel Farce!!

Was waiting on a delivery from the states USPS, it arrived in the uk in record time, Parcel Farce had it for 4 days before even attempting to deliver it to me, complete muppets. Same thing happened when i order windows home server, they were the uk courier for the company i got from. Again they took 3 days to even attempt to deliver what was supposed to be a next day delivery.

And when you collect they have sod all depots which are miles away from where i live lol.

At least with City Link, when i order stuff for a sat del from ocuk i tell the depot to keep it for me, i then go pick it up nice n early.

If you get on the phone quick they might be able to bring it back round later on, i've done that before several times when they've claimed no one was in.

An insider tells me that they write these cads out before they go out on their rounds. Means they can clock off quicker, because you will probably do their job in reverse the next day.

I've had this before, rang up and complained and they sent the driver back out :)

I have a lot of trouble with couriers so i use companies that use parcel force as they drop it off at the post office at bottom of our road? so not too bad! or i chose a courier that i dont have to get to the next town to find thier depot!

it happens to everyone i even watched a city link van stop at my house and didnt even get out and drove off on website it said not in. ty city link. but other times they can be really good, had a driver that had to deliver to my house for about 7 packages over 2 weeks (me and my dad were building a few pcs) and he came about 9am cause he knew we were up and played with the dog. and seriously do Couriers think that people will pay for delivery and go out on purpose.

never ever have a problem here, we have an Ex hearing dog in the house, she never misses anyone at the door and when i confront the manager/driver, they always admit they didnt knock for 2 reasons, they want to get off early that day...or they have your package lost inside the van with the other parcels lol.

all curiours are the same, why don't they say stuff the time sheets and wait a while if no reply then leave a note, instead of just leaving a note without trying to see if the person is in
