It did. Where British troops were present they made huge gains against the taliban.
I don't know how others are feeling but I'm still feeling quite numb and upset about this. Can't stop thinking about how the families and friends of the dead and injured must be feeling at the moment.

Because it isn't their fault. You want to hold an entire country's population accountable for the actions of a militant group?
Its not their fault. Certain people coming out of Syria are at fault. Jihadi John doesn't make the UK culpable for his crimes because he was born here.
We should live and let live, short of that what kill everyone who wishes harm upon another? In which case it would at least solve the population problem across the world.
This isn't Afghanistan though. This is Iraq again and Syria. The countries are very different.

I don't condone letting anyone through our borders that's for sure! I was merely pointing out to jono, that giving children a safe passage into our country would not necessarily rule them out of becoming extremists, hence using Jihadi John as an example. I don't think we have an excuse for letting anyone in now, and certainly don't support liberal views on this issue.

You're blaming an entire nation for the actions of at most a small group of people and suggesting nuking them on that basis. Don't you think that's possibly a trifle of an overreaction and just perhaps an irrational response which is out of proportion?

so let's assume everyone in a majority muslim country (like Pakistan) hates us, because frankly apart from the generous $Aid we give them they have no reason to like us.
Then when they emigrate to the UK, those same people suddenly decide we are OK-ish, because keeping quiet is worth the free house and benefits?
But I don't see what is in it for us?
We'll have the complications of accommodating a damnably regressive culture, caring for whatever genetic cousin-marriage genetic flaws they've created for themselves, and the inevitable poverty that every minority group suffers in a white country. Plus every few months some of them go postal and start hacking us into dog food.
Why bother, just import 3 million Poles who look like us, act like us and think like us, give them £10K each to have children and sit back and collect our pensions.
UK culture would be practically unaffected other than Lidel stores would replace Waitrose.

Bono's comments apparently
U2 lead singer Bono has said the Paris massacres especially the attack on the music concert was IS’s first “direct hit against music.”
Bono said the bombs and bullets at the Eagles of Death Metal concert showed the attackers don’t like music.
“Our first thoughts at this point are with the Eagles of Death Metal fans,” Bono told the Dave Fanning Show on Irish radio 2FM today.

I'm afraid of the left, I'm not right by any means but the left scares me. They have the most sway these days and I get scared about how they don't act, if this was Hitler they would allow him cross the channel without a bullet fired.
Of course not but destroying the lives of so many people who are not involved in this is not an answer.
