Part-worn tyres

Nankangs are great.

On a roasting hot, dry, smooth road.
Show them some moisture and they get very scary, very quickly.
 
LOL, they sound like my current tyres then.

Good in the dry (in fact, having very little tread, they're superb - almost slicks) but in the wet they're ridiculous.

The other night, even setting off at 1,700rpm I was spinning the wheels :rolleyes: And locking the wheels when I had to brake hard on the motorway was ******* scary!
 
Right, went today before work... left one of the tyres with a garage owned by two brothers.

Taking the other one down in my lunch hour.

£25 each for some Continential 195/55/15's fitted and balanced. Can't complain. They've got quite a bit of tread left on them too, so it'll be good to see how long these ones last ;)
