Parvum Systems Project Magnus

That case is looking absolutely superb and that ASUS inlay . . . That's incredible. I can't wait to see photo's of this coming together. Excellent work

That inlay is superb.

Love it, that pic has just sold this to me a thousand times over, will be firing over an email to you guys over the next few days, no more enthoo for me.

May well have had your email by now! Sorry been a mad few days. We will of course get back to you ASAP! Thanks for the interest :)

Hell I wish I could build something with such precision. Awesome work.. *drool*

I suppose here our CNC helps us very much :D

The styling is amazing I won't be surprised if you start poping up in all the spec me threads with this case I know I really want one.

P.s. Great work.

Ah well I hope so! Thank you very much. We plan to sell a full range of towers so this is good practice as far as designing goes :)

Amazing build, can't wait to see more

Thanks guys! More updates very very soon :)! Took the rig home so I can do more work on it haha.

+1

E-ATX for my future Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition :D

Forget EATX, make a SWTX one with room for two or three 120.4 Rads and I'm in! :)

Nothing is impossible! Once we have more staff and such we will have more time to work on other projects! We are only beginning here after all :)

Quick question, what are the limits of working with plastic? I mean its not a material thats often used to build whole cases, i like it, i was a critic at first until i saw your first project thread, but now im sold on the idea. I was just wondering about its strutual integrity if you was to go big with the cases. If this is a deft question please go easy on me lol.

Not a deft or daft question at all. Its understandable a case this side made from acrylic could be seen to be somewhat sketchy and flexible. The reason this is not is the way we combine multiple sheets of acrylic.

The strength it this comes from making sure the correct panels are holding other panels up. For example the top of the case is 2 x 5mm sheets sandwiched together. This is strong but on its own with radiators would start to bow. With the side panels full length underneath it becomes impossible.

The other biggest strength gain is from the mid wall. The Z shape bend bring a tremendous amount of strength to the whole structure. We tested the smaller cases by having somebody lay on two cases at a LAN event. It took the full weight with ease.

Saving for one of your systems although i might hold out now.

You guys are by far one on of the companies on top of their game.

Subbed.

Sometimes bigger is better. I still like our ITX best myself tho ;D

Thanks for the kind words. It's nice to share so much with the community on builds like this.

Rads and fans

This time will actually be a mini update :D haha. Mainly to show you a few bits from the sponsors/support and what not.

First up is the fans. Phobya have supplied the build with 17 of these little gems. Really liked them when I was first shown them and now the black version comes out.. it was meant to be!
Thanks Pascal.

Time to start making custom length cables. The current plan is for most of the rear and cable management to be visible so it was a must. Plus due to size alone most of the cables wouldn't have even been long enough:

And the part I hate the most. Solder time....

With his new length cable and some Shade 19 MDPC braid:

Next up some of the goodies from XSPC; super stoked on these fittings. We used them first in the ITX build. Love the shape and overall size. Feel nice and chunky and very suitable for this build. Black chrome finish on these:

We move onto the radiators of choice. Decided to use the white rads as the fans are black and will break up the colour enough between the fans and the inside of the case.
These are currently my favorite radiator and aesthetically nothing touches them for me. Really want to use the smaller 120mm versions in an ITX project!

A big thanks goes out to Paul for helping set this up. Really enjoying the current XSPC range. They seem to be really on point with their latest and coming range of products.

To finish for the day.. as I said it is a short update we simply had a little test look at two of the rads inside Magnus:

Until next time :D

Im glad to see you have your new CNC.

No more of the slight mismatching of parts due to poor tolerance of old cnc :D

We will do great things with this machine. When you upgrade to something 10 times the cost you really see the change. Especially the kind of money CNCs are anyway.

This case gets better and better I keep wonerding what are you going to put in there next its epic

Well my biggest peeve is unused space inside rigs... on that note I have my work cut out here. It's all already planned. Between the two of us we will figure this out.

You guys are doing a beast of a job on that case :)

Thanks a ton scotsdragon; any ideas for us on this one? :D
