Pascal Titan-X Launch

I guess we know why 1080 is so expensive now, not enough performance left in pascal to justify making a 1080Ti

makes me feel a bit better about my 1070 purchase
 
At under 1K I might have been stupid enough but at £1099 I'll wait for my 1080 that is on order. Only 54 days and counting....

Yeah I can't see a 1080 Ti coming out when the performance gap between the 1080 and TX is so small.

Pascal Titan X is only 451mm^. There's definitely more performance in Pascal, but they seemingly aren't making a big daddy-size die GPU this time around. If they made a gaming-focused GPU based on the GP100 die, it would be pretty special.

Probably not cost-effective, though. And I'm guessing by the time it would be, Volta will be around the corner.
 
Paying £1,100 for a graphics card to game on is madness. That's a whole new pc price there. Epeen swingers only.
