Pascal Titan-X Launch

I'm loving the worst case scenario distribe your claiming too, your starting to sound a bit silly, did this card **** your missis or something :p

Want to try that again perhaps in English? :p

Gerard is just salty. I and others can appreciate the sheer brilliance this is the PTX, the greatest GPU ever designed and TBH a bargain at £1100.

Salty nothing, shouldn't you be creating misleading videos on YouTube only to remove them once you get called out on them? :)

At £1100 it should be the greatest GPU ever designed, and walk the dog. Do the shopping and go to work for me :p

£1100 a bargain, man I want what this guy is smoking xD

Looking forward to picking a used one of these from you guys later on. £500 on MM a few weeks, months after the 1080Ti launch :P

Your just keeping it warm for me until then xD

Really no need to discredit AMD these days, they are doing a great job of it themselves.

But you didn't direcredit anything, all you did was take a video of an nvidia tech demo and claim that tessellation off mode in the demo was amd with tesellation enabled. You then claimed on the forum that wasn't your youtube account and removed the video after it was linked, pretty sad to say the least, isn't that right evilcrow?

Ohhh you had no where to go with a return comment there did you, other than the a key being next to the s

Would that be like you having nowhere to go with a return when your first 4k card rhetoric got stopped dead in its tracks? :) I'm not bashing anyone's purchase i just feel like the card is overpriced for what it is, and having to spend more on it after the fact to get the performance higher is bleh.

haha same here -_- £1100 is nowhere near a bargain, when you compare it to my £350 980 Ti I got brand new and can do 1550mhz on the core it's very close to 1080 performance so the Titan is around 30-35% faster at best, yes the TX can overclock but come on a fraction of the cost, Titan pascal and bargain don't mix well together :p

Agreed the tx is no bargain but you are wrong in your comparison.

Your oc 980ti will match a stock 1080 but an overclocked 1080 is 20% faster and the oc tx is anoth 30% faster so it's about 50% faster than your 980ti.

So yeah fo three times the money not value for money but I still got one :)

The top comment in that screenshot is almost as funny as the whole shenanigans with that video - we all know what happened with the 6000 series cards :D

What happened with 6000 series was yet again the internet hyped expectations amd created rumours that weren't true, same as the lead up to most gpu releases.

Funny thing was though at that time people were still saying how nVidia would be in trouble with the 6000 series launch and how it would be 30-40% faster than the GTX580 even after AMD themselves published product positioning information and pretty clearly claimed it was going for the position between the 570 and 580 with the 6970 hence that image.

So many people seem to have short memories around here :|

Or maybe many people with a bit of sense ignore all the pre-release bs that invariably has "source based rumours" going from one extreme to the next and await reviews? Every launch its the same thing, rumours become fact and "amd or nvidia said". I tend to tune out of it these days as one day the cards gonna be the best thing since sliced bread and the next its "this card gives you leprosy".

Yeah O/C'd 1080 to stock TXP it's going to be isn't it, but then guess what you can just O/C the TXP as well  and what do you get?? 30%+ again, watercool the TXP and you'll be at 50% with a modded bios, oh and you can't do that with your 8pin 1080 can ya ;)

Had a 1080 it wasn't a great leap in performance from my old TX or for Ti owners either about 10% (pretty poor), the TXP is the leap we all wanted over the last gen. The first 4K card some of us wanted as well and you can't do that with ya 1080 either :-)

Compare modded-modded :p. I've seen 2.35ghz on 1080's with Asus XOC bios. That's an Asus card bios never mind what a modded can do.

8pin isn't the limit on the 1080 ;).

1080 was between 20-30% over my 980Ti at 1500 which isn't bad.

TXP is a far more capable card but at a hefty price increase for 30% again.

And even then you really need a block or hybrid to get it anywhere near the 2ghz clocks or your back to 1080 territory. I certainly couldn't put up with a 100% jet engine fan even in the next room.

second this,

perks of gtx 1080
-uses less power and runs cooler can really tell a difference since I have both my gpu/cpu on 1 240mm rad I really noticed the difference compared to my titan x / 980 ti

- only 20-30% slower than a £1200 gpu ( with block )

also although you can flash a bios on the 1080s ( I have flashed a few)

many reported including myself that the scores are lower in benchmarks/games etc even though the clocks seem to be higher, its asus poorly done bios, shows higher clocks freq yet is inferior to the FE bios which has been proven to be the best bios, makes you wonder how good the the asus strix oc actually are if the bios is poor compared to FE bios

EDIT : is this xoc bios different from the first strixs? I tested the very first ones? maybe I need to try it this one if its new

What a load of BS.

You don't know how well the TXP clocks on a proper water block/voltage control/modded bios.

It's going to be higher than 30%!
