Path of Exile 2

Whilst really enjoying the game the lack of meaningful loot dropping when you've just had a challenging fight is a bit disheartening and constantly repeating content to get to that end stage isn't great fun. I'll give it a bit of time before going back to it, but has anyone else felt the same?

Not me, not yet at least, I play exclusively on HC and I also play exclusively blind, I dont watch any videos on how to beat bosses so I inevitably die to them the first few times as I am learning their mechanics, as a result, I havent even made it to the end of Act 3 yet. Despite that, I now have 337 hours played in PoE 2 since it came out and for comparison I have 534 hours played in PoE1 , in the 12 years since it appeared on Steam, which means I have already done over half the entire time I put into PoE1. The stats back up my internal thinking, which is that I vastly prefer PoE2. In fact PoE2 is seriously hampering my ability to put time into KCD2 and Stalker 2 at the moment :D

Not for me yet either, but I don't play on HC mode (be devastated if I lost my warrior haha). Think I'm roughly around the 250 hour mark and like you this game is seriously hampering me playing anything else :D

i noticed there has been a few updates for POE recently, hows crashing now then?

*touch wood* i have not had a problem but my mates/co op players have had bad issues with the damn crashes.

Used to at least crash once per evening (hard pc freeze type of crash too). But since update that fixed it the other week I've had 1 crash to desktop and been playing almost every night.
 
Darn, just hit 400 hours played and I thought this was going to be the run where I finally finished Act 3, but it was not to be. Got killed by the trial of chaos boss. Still...managed to reach lvl 43 so thats a new record high level for me :)

I'm sure I could do it quicker if I played softcore instead of hardcore, or followed a build guide or if I watched youtube videos so that I knew boss mechanics before I fight them but I prefer HC and I prefer to fight things blind and learn them myself and prefer to work out for myself what works for a build

Are you playing the same class each time?

No I generally have one of each class on the go (except Witch), which I level up in parallel with each other. I get a little further each time as I learn boss mechanics, my previous highest character was 36 so did well with the last run through as I reached lvl 43 which was a big jump. Tbh I could have probably gone further if I hadnt decided to do the 2nd set of trials and died against the boss in the trial of chaos.

Nice, which chaos boss did you get was it the bird that moves around the room up & down the stairs etc?

I might have to have a go at a HC run at some point, although I know if I did make it to the endgame I'd die stupidly off a trash mob that gets a lucky stun in then just insta die :cry:

It was a big bird yeah, called something the sky seer , didnt catch the full name.

Interesting that you say that, got to admit that most of the time when my HC characters die its to trash mobs rather than bosses. I'll just be pootling along annihilating everything and then bam, dead in 0.5 seconds :)

Looks like a new class getting showcased tonight along with the other changes coming to 0.2.0

Huntress class with spear added as a new weapon type. GGG are making slow headway with PoE2 ; their pronouncement that the EA would be complete within 6-12 months is looking like fantasy at this stage. I think 2-3 years is more likely. To be honest, I think I'm more hyped for Last Epoch 2.0 which will launch 2 days before this PoE2 update.

I had hoped Druid next or the Templar, but Huntress will do
