I don't think I can go back to 1. Don't get me wrong POE2 has it's flaws for me (I hate most of the map layouts) but the controller support is amazing and the graphics beautiful.

yeah I logged in a few days ago and it's like turbo mode enabled, by the time you're half way through act 1 with flask, movement skill and MS boots. Feels too fast but also to me poe 2 feels like walking in treacle. The only thing poe 2 has done for me so far is make me not enjoy either game

I really enjoyed my time with POE2 (400~ hours) however, I did get bored once I got to maps which I spent about 50 hours in, the rest was on a number of SSF Hardcore characters etc as I really enjoyed the pace and combat of the campaign. There is a lot of work that does need to be done though.poe2 is a bad game like diablo4.

Yea' I think I might try the month-long league despite saying I wouldn't lol.
PoE2 is quite bare bones, imo. I'm going to give the new PoE1 league a shot. ARPGs are in a strange spot at the moment ; there's a glut of them, but none have delivered on their promise .... yet.

Every other game I've been meaning to play have been pushed aside since this released
Feel like I should maybe try PoE1 out for this new league that is releasing, have they announced an actual release date?

No-one is forgetting it's EA, long term players aren't liking the direction GGG are going, it's nothing to do with EA jank. If you'd played a lot of POE, you'd appreciate the difference between the two games.
It's not a new league it's an event. The new league is a long way off.

- Standard, Hardcore, Standard Solo Self-Found and Hardcore Solo Self-Found versions available. The event also has a Ruthless mode available which uses the same Ascendancy Classes as non-Ruthless versions.
- This event is not voided. Items and characters will transfer to parent leagues at the end of the event. Upon migration, your characters’ Ascendancy points will be respecced and you'll be assigned one of the core Ascendancy classes.
In the Legacy of Phrecia event, all the 19 Ascendancy classes you are familiar with will be replaced with new ones. Become a Servant of Arakaali and raise spiders to fight alongside you; use the powers of nature itself as the Daughter of Oshabi or just ascend into a Harbinger - this event manifests the wildest ideas of our design team into reality.
No idea what to pick, there certainly seem to be a couple of fun looking things. Half tempted with a zoom zoom autobomber or flicker build, or just spiders.
I loaded it up for the first time today in about 6 months after playing my way through a number of other games (D3, D4, POE2, Titan Quest & Grim Dawn), it's going to take some adjusting back to the level of visual overload on offer, could barely keep track of what was happening.
