Can always get yourself a 4080 super ti. If failing at a 5080. Unless you after the big boy 5090 cardSooo... who's booked a day off work for Thursday so they can abuse their F5 key with no distractions. I have and I'm now slightly resentful that I've probably wasted a day's annual leave given the expected stock situation... but I just know that if I didn't, I'd spend the next couple of months until stock opens up pondering what might have been.
They aren't even being produced anymore, that's very unlikely. There's a small number you can preorder but I'd bet they never materialize. Will you still be stocking the 40 series?
Peeling the 4080 stickers off and replacing them with 5080 stickers is very time consuming.how can a product be EOL six months before the replacement product?
The thing is, not everyone thinks like this. I personally do not like to hand over £2,000+ for a product I might not receive for 3 months, it should be taken on dispatch IMO. You won't keep everyone happy unfortunately.I dont understand why they can't take pre orders from people who are willing to wait for months for the order to be filled up? I bought the 3090 and had to wait for around 3 months before it got delivered, and of course I waited it out no problem.
As it stands I have to remain constantly refreshing for the 5090 because I can't even pre-order, even when Im willing to wait for months to get my card. I dont need it today, I dont need it delivered by next week. Im willing to wait in the queue for however long it takes. But I can't actually order it.
Just take the pre orders, at the end of the day, put us in the queue in the order we've bought them, and that's it.
It was a joke.
I'm not dropping 2k on a gpu lol.
Has it been confirmed that anyone is making a waterblock for the 5090FE? I thought it was unlikely due to the unique design of the FE (multiple PCBs connected linked together etc.).I have full custom loop so would only get an 5090FE. As it’s not much of an upgrade from a 4090 I’ve zero feeling of impatience. Whenever an FE is in stock for RRP I’ll buy. I never bothered going from 1080Ti to 2080Ti as that was just as meh.
de8auer is working on one - but he said no guarantees it ever sees the light of day.Has it been confirmed that anyone is making a waterblock for the 5090FE? I thought it was unlikely due to the unique design of the FE (multiple PCBs connected linked together etc.).
Maybe they priced the 5090 too low in that case.I dont understand why they can't take pre orders from people who are willing to wait for months for the order to be filled up? I bought the 3090 and had to wait for around 3 months before it got delivered, and of course I waited it out no problem.

Oof. This wasn't a launch so much as an advertising taster. They should have waited until March to at least get a few more cycles of product in the channel. It sounds like the earliest any stock will be in is mid Feb although small, then mid March for any real volume.![]()
