Paul Daniels now - What a shame *Goodbye Paul*

Paul Daniels was one of the greatest magicians to grace our television screens. Many times better and more entertaining that most of those who followed; Dynamo, Blaine, Copperfield, et al.

He may have been a bit bonkers but he was an excellent magician and entertainer, and by all accounts a thoroughly nice guy.
 
Sad News... we saw him over Christmas in a Panto and you could tell something wasn't right 1/2 his tricks went wrong he clearly had some problems with his hands..
 
I was alwasy enticed by his magic as a child, wasn't until I became older and realised it was all illusion.

Still a little bit less magic in the world now.

My dad took me to see him when he preformed in Aberdeen around 25 years ago, one of the best live shows I've seen.
Always found his shows to be entertaining, and was disappointed when he went out of fashion.

Saw him live when I was 8 years old on the Strand, god 28 years ago!
Fresh off the boat from Ireland and got to go up on stage and tie up Debbie McGee hands and legs with leather straps... then watched him stab her several times with his sword.

Does that read as wrong as I think it does?
 
Saw Paul and Debbie a couple of years ago when I went to see Penn & Teller in Hammersmith. Sat with the "normal" customers for the show and was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures during the interval.
