Yep, I looked forward to getting it for Christmas for so long... I soon lost interest when I realised 'magic' actually involves a bit of work to learn and pratice the tricks... Was probably a bit young at the time to appreciate it.

RIP, very fond childhood memories. Fantastic entertainer and magician. Tragic 
He will be hugely missed.
He amazed and entertained a whole generation of people, and brought magic to the TV screen. I've met him a couple of times, and I have to say he is down to earth and was a brilliant man, not just as a magician, but as a tutor within the magic community.
A real sad time for all magicians, and no doubt, for the millions he entertained throughout the years.

Saw him live in the eighties.
He did the chair trick with my friends dad.
His dad couldn't take his hands off the back of the chair and to this day swears blind it was not a 'fix'
