PAYDAY 2

Mine doesn't really want to download :(

Played a few games this morning and they went fine, now it gets stuck on 1%
 
Still no fix for the bank roof bug?


Why on earth is my Payday 2 folder 19GB all of a sudden?!?

It hasn't been that size, the game just stole all the free space on my HDD
I had about ~8GB free then all of a sudden I had 40MB free
 
well, lets say i have 'another' version on another hard-drive, which is still only on update #1, and thats 18.8gb, and my steam folder which is update #5 is 18.7gb

So i'd imagine something else has stole all your free space. Steam tells you it requires 18-19gb when it installs it too.
 
I'm pretty sure a similar thing happened on a previous update.

It's duplicating files or something weird like that.

Do you happen to keep downloading extremely large files when receiving very small sized patches for games on Steam at all?
 
no idea about that, i know at one point i actually duplicated the assets folder myself because im sure it went corrupt and caused me to have to download almost everything again.

I have 3 different sets of files, by when they were 'modified'
13/08 @ 04:00 = 28.7mb
'Yesterday' (00:37 - 01:45) = 737mb
'Today' (00:03 - 00:19) = 16.9gb

There are some *_h.bundle files, which coincide with *.bundle files, but they're tiny byte sized files.

I think #5 was about 1.4gb last night.

As i say, mine is 18gb+, and im of the understanding thats correct based on what steam insisted i made room for on installation. Is it far smaller for other people then? (those with access atm)
 
There is definitely something wrong with the file size. Mine is 19.4GB which is ludicrous given the lack of content, no pre-rendered cutscenes and low graphical fidelity. I'm going to reinstall it now and see what the folder size is afterwards, will update this post soon.

EDIT: Atleast I would if it wasnt stuck on 94.3MB with 0bytes per second download speeds...

Restarting Steam lets me get about 30-40MB before it drops to 0bytes again, and people say Origin is bad...

Completely random but I played PAYDAY 2 with you and Trigger-Happy :D
