PAYDAY 2

If you trip the cops during the mission you have to play through an escape mission before the payday.

We had a random alarm on the Jewellery store - Overkill and couldn't manage the escape; the van took 3½ mins of almost constant assault to come in, was on the opposite side of the map, in the open, surrounded by armoured cops and once it arrived we only had 2 mins to load up and go.

The escape mechanic is dumb, how would they track you down if you all escaped just as the initial police response got there? You'd be miles away before SWAT arrived on the scene. They should change it so that if you don't escape before the first SWAT wave then you get chased, not the second the regular rozzers get on the scene with their peashooters. I used to solo the Nightclub with the drop off van asset and get out before the police even got out their cars, can't do that now as you get placed in the middle of a level 3 SWAT assault out in the open on yer todd on 'day 2'. :p

Really enjoyed a couple of games of this the other day, is there a friends system?

other than using the steam friends list I am not aware of an ingame list. You can filter by steam friends though :)

Am a little confused about this game. What is the safe house all about? and were do I go to find players to play online with?

Apart from the tutorial I haven't used the safehouse at all.

if you go ingame to crimenet online you will see people icons and spaces next to the jobs which come up. You will find games with people in. Or you could click on a job and accept it and open it to other players.

My advice (I'm only level 29) to any player is to get yourself into a group if you can. Way more fun (in my opinion) and increase your chances of winning. More xp = better skills and I am enjoying the game the more I get into it and develop better skills.

I'm more than happy for people to add me on steam to play this :)

im ranking up at a steady rate, but because i cant understand how the heck im supposed to stealth so many of the missions it feels like im missing out one a chunk of the game, and of course all these 'escape' missions are being tacked on for 90% of them, and when they're 3-day jobs its quite frustraiting (only done Framing, and we couldnt do the final stage but had to do the first 2 days +2 escapes).

The problem is theres guards, cameras and civilians. i can kill the guards bit by bit and answer the pagers, but what about cameras? shooting them just seems to alert the police, so assuming you can deal with guards and keep civilians contained, what can be done about cameras?

edit - also, i'd imagine if i could stealth just half of the mission, it'd mean im having to gun through less at least, rather than 95% of the mission being guns blazing. Its not helped that im playing it solo most of the time either.

Without stating the obvious.....playing solo will be extremely tricky as the AI team mates are pretty average, they don't have any abilities beyond shooting and helping you when downed.

Once you go online you will have a better chance.........it makes me cringe and laugh in equal measure as every server someone always says "lets stealth" and about 25 secs later you get a sea of red exclamation marks. Bettter to accept you will have to shoot your way out 95% and bring your heavy gear.

I have a couple of people I play regular with and it can get a little stale as they often want to complete jobs quick for XP. I find that playing with randoms can sometimes be more enjoyable, granted you don't make as much money or XP but its good to help lower lvl players and learn new tactics.

Once the guard manning the cameras is done the cameras can't do anything, so for the guy in the back room in the Ukrainian Job for example, whos stood next to the camera feed, and the guys in the big rooms marked 'SECURITY' on most other levels. Once the camera operator is KIA, missions easy.
